I'm a huge ONE OK ROCK fan, but I respect and admire coldrain for keeping their screaming/heavy instruments alive while revolving as a band. In spite of the pressure that most rock bands are going through right now which most of them have already turned their heads into EDM and pop music, this band doesn't fumble and they just go for what their heart is screaming for. Huge respect for going after passion rather than worshiping fame. I really really respect you for that, coldrain

I agree. It makes me a little sad how ONE OK ROCK has changed their sound compared to previous albums. I still really enjoy ONE OK ROCK, but a part of me really misses that heavy rock sound they would implement in their music once in a while. coldrain will always be my all time fav band becuase they stick to what music they always believed in.
@Narukami125 жыл бұрын
Yeah I think you right, many band nows turning into pop music example like Bring Me The Horizon, Oliver sykes still can screaming and growl but they decided to move to new genre.

To be fair, coldrain is still very accessible, but that’s another reason why bands like them and ONE OK ROCK don’t have to chase trends. They already have their niches, and while they can absolutely experiment, there’s no point in watering down their sound specifically to get more popular. No matter what coldrain does, it’s just coldrain in all their glory. I do wish they would find more sounds to incorporate, but it’s better in many ways than what ONE OK ROCK did. I really liked Jinsei * Boku = but John Feldman’s mixing was easily one of the worst parts of it. I liked it for the bold sounds, such as the rap bridge on “Ending Story??” the occasional guitar solos, and the entirety of “69.” After that, they stopped writing so much of their material and let producers like Feldman crap all over the songs with unnecessary effects and disposable hooks. There are still good and even excellent songs here and there, but they exist in spite of all of this. While it’s always interesting to see whether any ONE OK ROCK songs turn out good, I would often rather have a consistently good band like coldrain, even if they don’t always thrill.

This whole video feels like an homage to Linkin Park. LP influenced visuals from the New Divide and Waiting for the End music videos. Masato wearing Chester’s outfit from the In The End Music Video. Rapping “Doesn’t matter how hard I try”. This whole video is a massive homage to Linkin Park. Masato has always somewhat sounded like Chester when he sings as well.

I nowadays , bands like Bring me the horizon , Memphis may fire , The word alive , Asking Alexandria and bullet for my valentine are all leaving the genre . It's ok , we know that they need to move on and try something new . However , we love such heavier stuff , and we just want to have some good songs to listen to . It's sad , as a fan , to see all those changes in these bands . I hope that Coldrain never stop doing their heavy sound . They're one of my favorite bands .

Coldrain is one of my favourite japanese metalcore bands but coldrain are so cool sound like Linkin Park one of my favourite nu-metal bands and being a Linkin Park fan when I was a teenager it’s so cool that Chester Bennington passed away since 2017 it’s so sad.
