The video of the family crossing the lake is probably the the clip from the Twilight Zone Movie. The lead actor was doing the scene with two child actors. Pyrotechnics when off too close to the helicopters tail and made it crash in them killing all 3 on impact. The director had the children working illegally, at night and around dangerous conditions.

Steven Spielberg and John Landis were directors on the different parts of the film. Landis was the one that did that scene and had the civil lawsuits against him.
