I have watched every review for this car and yours is truly the best

As a recent US purchaser of the X5 40i, I think I’ve watched nearly every review of the car KZbin has to offer (some in languages I didn’t understand). Yours is among the best. Great cinematography and composition, and I really enjoyed your enthusiasm. Keep ‘em coming!

Have you had any issues with iDrive 7 system? I have had a lot of problems. It's still in shop waiting on parts from Germany. I picked it up Dec 3rd and have had it no more than 10 days. I might get it back in two weeks. This is pathetic.

Howard's Channel I’m sorry to hear that, Howard. I had a couple of glitches with the iDrive system when I first took delivery (e.g., the weather widget and Apple Car Play were unavailable). But after downloading a software update over the vehicle’s onboard WiFi, everything worked as advertised, and I’ve been very happy with the system. Hope they fix it for you soon!

So much electronics. I shudder thinking what all can go wrong long term. Best lease than buy if one is interested in this chariot. Do these have only two rows now?
@ColdStart5 жыл бұрын
Paul M 2 rows! The X7 will have 3 rows. But yes you are right, there are SO MUCH technology inside. It would have taken us an entire week to get used to everything 😆

I really like how you relate the driving experience to the local road condition. As a driver in Toronto I can feel the new X5 will be great to drive in Canadian winter. Good job!

Awesome review, video and sound quality!! I like the way you touched on simple details to make it relatable to the driver in your city. This allowed me to visualize what I’d need to know. Thanks for the great content; wish you all the best up ahead!!!

Great review! Keep up the good work. Im thinking of getting into the 2019 but am disappointed they didn't release it in a diesel engine. Hopefully the 2020's come out with a 30d in Canada!

Hey buddy, should I drive in sport or comfort mode highways or city?? What’s the big dif between sport and comfort?? Also I have 2 axle air suspension mode so should I keep it low or up?
@ColdStart5 жыл бұрын
Raja Dhillon sport mode if you want a faster throttle response and a stiffer suspension. I would just leave it on comfort mode as a day to day driving and when you want to have some fun, kick it to sport mode. The lower the air suspension, the lower the centre of gravity which means you will have better handling. Setting it up high for when you ride on low speed in environments such as trails, gravel, uneven pavement. Set it up low for when you pair it to sport mode, take on sharp corners at a good speed etc etc

Not a fan of where BMW is going when it comes to exterior design. Can't quite put a finger on it I just don't like it.
@ColdStart5 жыл бұрын
The 8 is actually done quite nice. I do agree some exterior design falls short but they still have a line of eyegasmic vehicles

I have a new one. I have had it 3 weeks. It has been in the shop for 2 of those weeks with multiple computer and electrical issues. The service dept at the dealer is working with BMW to find a fix but I have asked for a replacement vehicle. It has been very frustrating to own a $75k vehicle and not be able to drive it.
@ColdStart5 жыл бұрын
Howard's Channel that is super unfortunate. But I had a feeling there is going to be some issues due to the amount of technology inside the new X5. Also this is the first year of this generation so I think issues here and there should be normal. However, having it in the shop twice already is such a hassle. I hope you get it resolved!
@hhanger15 жыл бұрын
@@ColdStart me too. It's actually been in the shop 4 times for a total of 2 weeks. I have driven it only 175 miles. Totally unacceptable. BMW is pushing back, as you could expect, about replacing it but it has had everyone stumped. The BC button quits working, the audio has stopped several times, error messages about safety systems being offline. The SOS button wasn't working. Mine is with the executive package so it has a lot of tech. I'm very concerned this will be a problem going forward.

Bro. Just get an LX570! You will have worse gas mileage but that car will take you to Venus and back today and in 15 years from today
