Why doesn't Western AF partner with these artists to release albums of these stripped back singles. It's usually better than whatever version that is heavily produced. So good!

Between waf, gems, punk with a camera and paste you could make some dope compilations

Please do it. What a good idea this would be. Crowdfunding for coasts for production and artists, giving away a Download, a CD, If lucky Vinyl. Western-AF Shirts and stuff. Man, I know alot of people who would fund this and I'm not living in the heartland of this music nor either the USA. :D please think about IT!

Got to meet Cole in Chattanooga - he and Nick Jamerson played a listening room tucked under Lookout Mountain. They absolutely ripped the lid off that little place. After Cole played 3 or 4 songs some lady hollered out “play a happy song!” to which Cole replied “wrong set, lady.” Talked to him at the bar and asked if he ever gets nervous.. such a humble and awesome guy.

It would be rad if Western AF did what Heartworn Highways did with a small group of underground musicians, spend a few days in their life and document what it takes to be themselves.

Great stuff, like the songwriting here a lot, very relatable! Chords and lyrics below folks. I ain't no native speaker, so I had a hard time getting some words, help me out on the question marks if ya can and correct me if I'm wrong here and there. Standard tuning, Capo on 1 Intro G C G / Em D C / G C G / Em D G Verses G C G / Em D C / G C G / Em D G / G C G / Em D C / G C G / Em D C G Chorus Em D C G / Em D C G / G C G / Em D G Interlude G C G / Em D C / G C G / Em D G Outro G C G / Em D G [Intro] [Verse 1] I'm the firstborn of a steel workers daughter The son of a marathon man My mother had gypsy soul trapped in her ?? My father a ???? Two different raisings, two sides of a river Bound for restlessness all along I packed up my guitar for Lexington dive bars Slipped out before they knew it I was already gone [Chorus] Settle down child, don't you know what you've asked for A life of uncertainty, a life of crime A man with no patience must walk out of cadence Damned to be unsatisfied [Interlude] [Verse 2] I've been working my ass off, every day is a coin toss I'll be striking gold or bedrock I don't give that much sleep cause gambling takes up keep Each day I throw more into the pot I could blame the stars for if I were a rocket man I'd fly right into the sun This pounding heart runs on gin in my blood Taking no account of the damage I've done [Chorus] Settle down child, don't you know what you've asked for A life of uncertainty, a life of crime A man with no patience must walk out of cadence Damned to be unsatisfied [Interlude] [Verse 3] When all this dust settles and pots turn to kettles I aim to have landed on top But I'll take the middle if they're screeching fiddles And bourbon down there is still hot [Chorus] Settle down child, don't you know what you've asked for This life you've been living could end on a dime A man with no patience must walk out of cadence Damned to be unsatisfied Damned to be unsatisfied [Outro]

I come from the Punk Rock world, and if I may say, a lot of these Western AF featured artists are waaaaaay more punk than some of the artists that Fat Wreck and Epitaph are pushing these days (no disrespect to those artists, but the authenticity the Western AF artists display is unparalleled).
