This song is so moving. It immediately made me think of how far from home I am and how those that are dear to me echo the sentiment. “Please come home.” The verse melody went right into me like a knife, cutting to my sense of yearning like a surgical blade. I teared up in moments but I had a bitter sweet smile the whole time. Thank you Cole. Your music always touches me in some fashion and I’m always glad that it does. Even when it draws up loss and melancholy it’s still amazing.
