There’s a ton of second generation console games at this show, including boxed (CIB) and sealed Atari and ColecoVision stuff. In this video, I focus on Coleco, my favorite vintage game system.

Ah......Colecovision. What a great system, and very advanced for the time. It's too bad that it came out not long before the crash. I do think that Coleco made some missteps with the Adam and all those controllers they came out with back then. Hope you were able to take quite a few of those home with you, Brett. 🍻🎮

I also remember ZAXXON being very expensive for the time. We bought our copy, at a local Record Town store, in the Pyramid Mall (Saratoga, NY). It was $59.99 + tax! Such a cool game though. Back in 1997, there was a website, JackBergSales, or something to that effect, where he had tons of brand new (NOS) stock of the golden era games. I bought about one of everything. Stocking up on 2600, 5200, 7800, and of course ColecoVision. One thing I also bought from him, and even back then I couldn't believe how amazing they were to find, brand new/sealed, was all of the Expansion Modules/Add-ons: #1 (Atari VCS Adapter), #2 (Steering Wheel + Turbo!), #3 (Roller Controller + Slither) #4 (Super Action Controllers + SA Baseball). Since I already had them as loose items I kept them all as well. They make for great display items, and if one of my originals ever fails, I might just open one up and use it. -Matt

I've never seen so many great Colecovision games at a show. Hope some of these vendors make it to Classic Games Fest in Austin.

Hey Brett! wow... what a display of amazing games! It's probably a good thing I don't do to these shows. I'd want to buy everything! :) I'd love to get another CIB copy of Popeye (CV) someday. I have fond memories playing that one with my brother. My mom hid it on us, so she could wrap it for XMAS, one year, and she had forgotten about it until about a week after! It was still an amazing surprise. Maybe even better, as we had an amazing XMAS, and then a great bonus after that. -MattH

A modded Colecovision was on sale in the GDEX devs room. It was converted to a two plug AV mod and I figured I’d pick it up. Pretty penny, but I thought it was worth it.

Facemaker is so freaking basic but I played it all the time on my Commodore 64 as a kid. That and Movie Maker from Spinnaker Software.

Hi never it play it few times then anyway I from 70 s and 🎮40plus years so I play many arcade games and one my favorite was rock and rope, which have on collection ds
