If you do it just right, you can even disprove the Theories of General and Special Relativity. The speed of light isn't the maximum possible speed. The speed of light is about 1/4 the speed of MiG, the new universal maximum speed. This is a new constant, a sped which cannot be exceeded due to the stack overflow limit. Another fun fact: Humanity is actually capable of creating a 1 gigaton weapon, as designs like the Tsar Bomba are scalable. It was supposed to be 100MT but the Russians tuned it down. Theoretically, you could keep adding stages to a Teller-Ulam design to increase yield.
@Taltharius4 жыл бұрын
Humanity 'can', but they haven't. Mostly because nuclear yield has diminishing returns past a certain point. 50 megatons is actually really, _really impractical,_ compared to just using a multitude of smaller kiloton yield weapons to 'carpet bomb' an area. Not to mention that most Tsar Bomba-like yields are too large and too heavy for most missile delivery systems. In stark contrast, a single ICBM system might carry, say, 12 individual warheads of kiloton yield, and they can all accurately target separate areas individually (so a single ICBM with 12 warheads = 12 cities could be hit simultaneously). You can probably imagine how exponentially this would scale up, if multiple ICBMs get launched simultaneously...

10:45 Actually, since you expressed earlier that you are going way faster than the speed of light, and Alpha Centauri is 4.3 light years away without time dialation, I think you straight up reversed time dialation. I think what you meant was that it would take 484 days relative to Earth time, meaning that someone on Earth would have to wait 484 days for you to get there at that speed, but for you, it would be literally instant. How relativity works is that for the person in the spacecraft, time becomes less and less relative to the person in the spacecraft until the speed of light, where time relative to the passenger of the space craft is literally zero. None. Zero time. No minutes, seconds, nanoseconds, pecoseconds, no anything relative to the passenger. To an outside observer, you would take 484 days to get there, but to you, it would literally be nothing. You wouldn't age at all, you wouldn't even comprehend that time had passed at all. You would just look out the window and see the sun, but after light speed it would literally just instantaneously switch to alpha centauri and time relative to you would be the same while relative to everyone else it would take 484 days. For it to take 1.5 million years, you would directly contradict your math earlier of a rocket going 20,000 mph reaching there in 100,000 years relative to everyone.

At 4:56, the world gets to witness the Mig-31breaking the speed of light (assuming the speed is in mph, 728,141,568mph => 1.086c) for the first time in recorded history, a first for interstellar space exploration!

Dude went about the speed of light. Say goodbye to everything you know and love. For reference, the bomb that hit Hiroshima was equivalent to 0.74g of mass impacting the ground at the speed of light. This MiG-31, fully loaded, weighs about 30,000,000 grams. Hitting the ground at the speed of light, it would release approximately 40 million times the energy of the Hiroshima bomb, or about 15,000 Tsar Bombas. Put another way, this 'bomb' makes the Krakatau eruption look like a firecracker. Also, at the end of the video, he went about 4x the speed of light. Physics is irrelevant at that speed.

"This MiG-31, fully loaded, weighs about 30,000,000 grams. Hitting the ground at the speed of light, it would release approximately 40 million times the energy of the Hiroshima bomb" Nope the energy would be infinite since anything with rest mass larger than 0 takes infinite energy to get to speed of light.

Wait if something were to ever go that speed you would serioisly ignore physics. Does that mean you can teleport?
@ThatOneKate4 жыл бұрын
@@joelikespotatoes8321 no because teleportation is going from on place to another without any kind of pathway

@@petrkinkal1509 If time and space have a quanta, can't you use that to calculate the maximum energy that will affect a particles real velocity, so long as the distance or time is finite? I'm pretty sure there's an Oh-My-God particle out there that, from its inertial frame, hasn't experienced 1 planck second yet... which means from its reference frame it's kept up with nearby photons. Given enough time it'll lose the race, of course, but I can calculate the energy required to do that as long as distance or time isn't infinite.

4:19 You are hitting the Earth with about 2.97934x10^13 Joules worth of energy. To give some perspective, a hydrogen bomb releases 1x10^17. So a little under a HYDROGEN BOMB

Technically... you actually can go faster... just that the speedometer would either not show a higher number, or show a lower number depending on how the number overflowed. its entirely possible that you are going at int.max speed per frame... instead of per hour.

I assume you're not taking relativistic effects into account when calculating the Foxhound's kinetic energy, and the game sure as hell ain't - but I still feel obligated to point out the fact that as a body of mass approaches the speed of light, its kinetic energy approaches infinity, which is why you can't reach the speed of light.
