Good video. Would like to see you make breakfast on that. That stove is great. The spoon is a great find. You should have said what the run time is on the stove. Hope you do more videos on it. Hope you do a review of some new boy scout gear if you get some. Do you have a boy scout tent. There slim to none and expensive. God bless. From Glenn CATT in Massachusetts.

Thanks for watching another one. This one was not planned. I’m glad I had a few mins to make it. I love that little stove. I remember my dad having one when I was a kid. It brings me back to my childhood.

Cool... my 502 is a 1971.... Cheezehead Chris sent it to me... he even sent me one of those Moka pots. I like those pots, I have a couple of them. That’s a sweet utensil set! ☕️🍴👍🏻
@John-Sherwood-W4JFS2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Chris. What month was your 502 made? I was born in 71. The Moka pot is fun to drag out from time to time. It was the first time I used it on that stove. I like it because I’m the only hot coffee drinker in my house so it’s a good way to make it with regular ground coffee and not with the expensive Keurig. I’m thinking about making a video soon with all my military utensil sets. I think folks might like that. Thanks for watching!

@@John-Sherwood-W4JFS - mine is 8-71... and yes, I think folks would like to see different utensil sets! 👍🏻

I have a couple of these little stoves. I don't know what it is about it, but it's just fun to fire one up and make some coffee on it.

John, try stirring the coffee in the pot before you pour it into your cup. It makes a huge difference to the coffee.

@@John-Sherwood-W4JFS Thanks! All good here! Did you see that Dave Canterbury and his pathfinder school is releasing a stainless reproduction Swedish m40? It’s interesting. A lot pricier than the originals were 10-12 years ago… but still interesting.

@@Thereal111t no I didn’t. I have the original aluminum version. Very good kit. I will check that out.
@Thereal111t2 жыл бұрын
@@John-Sherwood-W4JFS it’s interesting because he sent an aluminum one to be prototyped in stainless steel. The result is a stainless kit with the two ribs at the top that typically are the mark of an aluminum set. The windscreen is stainless too on his version, making it compatible with a wood fire as a backup.

How does the coffee taste
@John-Sherwood-W4JFS2 жыл бұрын
Great! It wasn’t super strong because I backed off a little on the coffee grounds for this one and I didn’t use espresso either. It was a good afternoon cup!
