I wanted one of those stoves for a long time, then forgot about it. Needless to say, I want one again

I'd say now is the time to get one! This stove is probably our favorite fuel stove.

So simple but I never thought to do that.....perfect...thanks. Now my stove is a Peak 1 from 1978 and still going strong. Great stove...Im going to try this tomorrow morning.

I have an old 502 that still works great, found it brand new in the box in my parents neighbors estate. best stove i have ever owned but a bit heavy for long excursions then i switch to my jetboil, but the coleman is my go to for cooking real food while camping or if i have to use an alternative fuel.

Thank you for this video. That looks like a great way to enjoy a grounds-free cup o' joe in the woods. I have one of those 533 dual-fuel stoves. I forget how old it is. I cannot remember when I bought it. Still crankin'. Subscribed.

Have had Coleman products most of my life. Had a duel fuel one many years ago and really liked it. That was until it died on me doing a 3 week canoe trip. The meals were done over a fire for the rest of the trip. Thinking of easier packing and lighter weight I purchased a small backpacking wood ( twig ) burning stove and used it till it was replaced with the same thing but in Titanium. Lighter weight and cools a lot quicker plus I can pick up fuel ( sticks ) anywhere I camp.

Or you can use folgers coffee bags. Like tea bags, but with coffee.

True but instead of making a special trip or purchase this is an easy quick option

I was in Uk last week and bought an unused pristine 533 for £40 from basecamp in Peterborough. Is Coleman still producing this model and what is their value approx ? Cool tip with the coffee.

Nice do you use Unleaded gas or White gas like Colman fuel ??? Have fun stay safe.

I’ve used almost everything in mine over the decades…over course I was much younger and wouldn’t recommend some…and of course the less clean the fuel-the more jets get clogged-so white gas(K1)(allways good to have back-up pipe&jet)…I’ve had many stoves over the years and that one is the one in my emergency footlocker, never failed….i would suggest a small percolator for coffee, worth it…

Coleman fuel in the gallon tins works great. You can use pretty much any fuel in an emergency, just use common sense with gasoline.

Yeh-was smart enough as a child not to use gasoline (we used that in Molotovs)…coleman fuel is A1kero pretty sure..>idk vodka works….the only downfall w/ that stove is the weight (but still happy I don’t need to lug around an 80lb pack anymore)@@HorizonsleatherBlogspot2012
