I have that exact generator. I picked it out of neighbor's trash a couple of years ago after a hurricane where it failed to serve them. I wheeled it home on flat tires, cleaned the carburetor as you did and Bob's your uncle. I keep it ready for hurricanes and it starts and runs great. Thanks for the video, memories for me.

Nice work Buck. Does that Gen have an AVR ? The voltage might drop off quite a bit once you put it under a couple thousand watt load. Thanks for the video.

I think I should put it under a load and test again. Thank you.

@@Buckwsr I found the parts list and the manual and couldn't find an AVR listed.

@@Mike-ig2zq Thank you. Either way, you're right that I need to test it under load. I was hurrying to finish the video. I will look at it this afternoon.

The generators don't have AVR's. They are the same gensets that Coleman has had since the late 80's when the PowerMate products began with Coleman. I have three from back then, they have bridge capacitors.

@buckwsr Very fun! I just found the channel of the guitar instructor for this old IT guy. Coincidentally, he also taught his early Spanish skills in IT by teaching me placa madre, or motherboard. 😊

Tom Doby says run the carberator dry and put carb cleaner up in the carb and blow it out then drain the tank and blow it out also. That is for storage when you want to use it put fuel in it and it should run Doby small engine repair
