same here, ran like a charm, had a tiny gas leak that i noticed after (still was super gas efficient) carb is spitting fuel and soaking the air filter. i guess im telling you this so you can make sure your filter doesn't have any smell of gas or wet. hope you guys are doing well after the storm

This video has helped me prepare for the exact fix I need to perform on my parents generator(same model). They lost all paperwork and going through both Coleman and Briggs and Stratton 's website provided no help.

What is the spark plug cap for this generator? My manual doesn't say?

Thanks for the great video! At the wrap up you mentioned the fuel shut off is no longer available and “there is a gasket in the fuel tank?” Please expand on that comment, as I just ordered a fuel shut off from eBay, but if I’m easy my time …

Oh boy that was a while ago. It could have been some kind of transient supply chain issue but there is a grommet on the tank that seals the shut-off valve to the tank

5:20 Since I just messed with 3 of these setups the past couple days for a couple neighbors, and my own, here in Stuart Florida for Hurricane Milton. I can tell you a total hack. lol I found that in that annoying as all hell choke lever plate is a small notch. It corresponds to a small tab on the side of the choke lever. If you know where it is, you can just line it up, and pull that choke lever right off the assembly and out of your way. 5:27 WELL...I guess that's what I get for making a comment without continuing to watch! lol 6:00 First, no, you will destroy a gasket..I'm cringing as I'm watching you make the same mistake I did with thinking the carb is 'just stuck on there' right now. I used my ratchet handle to give it that love tap, missed and broke the detent part off the black plastic choke cam!... 6:40 Not a common tool most of us have that external torx setup. I had some for automotive, but the size I needed for this was not in the set. Ended up hacking them to hell with a pair of pliers. 8:04 Looks like someone already made a gasket here. 8:06 WATCH IT! the little spring went flyin'! 10:14 My OCD has just kicked in, knowing you walked away from your cleaner leaving the fuel inlet sticking up out of the solution. lol 10:41 AAACCKK!! lol I need one of the ultra sonic cleaners. 14:23 Good, you found the spring. 16:15 I already admitted to that rampage. ;) 18:17 Yeah, those Jesus clamps are a pain. Thanks for posting. This will help. I was surprised you didn't even inspect the spark plug. (actually was wondering how the heck to get to it). Did you just feel an inspection wasn't needed?

In my opinion, spark plugs are some of the most over-replaced items in the outdoor power equipment industry. I can't remember the last time I replaced a bad one, and have only replaced a few that were worn. I would have checked it if I suspected ignition-related issues.
