Can someone explain (i am kinda new to american football) why (i think he was McAfee or something) could kick the ball 10 yards on the kick off and catch it without the opponent catching it first?

It's called an onside kick. Basically he just has to kick it just beyond 10 yards and his team can recover it. Normally you cannot do this when punting because no matter who gets it, the recieving team will always have it but in a free kick, whoever gets it has it.

The smartest play in NFL history is Pats v Broncos, 2003. Pats down by 1 and pinned at their own 1 yard line, take an intentional safety, go down by 3, kick the ball to Denver from their 25 instead, get a stop on D, then go down and win the game. Genius!

2 things: I don't know why the Packers are the only ones who seem to take advantage of that out of bounds kick rule. That seems like just a smart way to play those kinds of kicks. Ravens holding vs bangles was disgusting. 🤢 you should never EVER be able to get away with taking advantage of your own penalty. Like, I can get to a point getting a penalty internally to make a punt easier, because you’re still putting your self in a worse position for something that isn’t for sure, because if that punt is blocked then the field positioning of the ball is worse and there’s less time to stop the block return if it is turned over. But being able to hold someone so that the clock runs out? Disgusting.
