An easy method for checking for loose lug on equipment is to use a paint marker making a line across the lug and on the wheel. At a glance you can see if the lines don't match up they have loosened.

@71233 жыл бұрын
@@flybywire5866 When the wheels were bolted on, there was a gap left behind the rim and the hub. By torquing up all those bolts, you would imagine it would pull the hub and rim together but due to the amount of rubber on the ground, more than likely the tyre just flexed a bit leaving the gap behind. Personally, I am surprised they did not have the tractor jacked so the tyre was off the ground to torque it. Normally you would want to torque while on the ground to prevent the wheel spinning, but with that amount of rubber plus the fact you could properly put the tractor in gear.

I’m a mechanic at skidloaders plus in Wisconsin just a helpful tip to get the tracks off easier is loosen your grease release so the grease applying the track pressure can escape(which you already probably know) then you fin some 2” pipe stock cut it into 4 like 2’ sections put those sections of pipe in the track lugs spaced one lug apart then jump in the skidloader and drive the sections of pipe to the tension wheel in the front so they are evenly spaced around the wheel then take a pry bar and pry the track off. Longer process but a huge back saver and is quicker in the end

easy to see if they are loose...take a marker pen and pull lines on the bolt and on the wheel...and if the bolts move you will see the line on the bolt not match with the one on the wheel...thats what we do here on trucks and tractors and industrial pipelines with hot cold cycle..also you have plastic caps for bolts with arrows...

I would drive it once in a while to keep the Battery charged and put gas in it because it really liked gas. I believe it was a 454 Cu. inch engine. It would go down the Road bumping for around 10 miles or so. After they got warm, It would ride fairly smooth for a Great Big Bus.

So I asked this question awhile back now,and don't think I ever seen an answer. So your new tires on the tractor,are they bigger than the ones Welkers have on their combine now???? The ones on your tractor look like they would work better than duals for roll over conditions. In case some of your viewers don't know what I am talking about, in some farm grounds you have hills,some times the purpose of the dual wheels is also to help the tractor and/or combine from rolling over besides the better traction. I had a relative killed in a combine roll over,and a neighbor killed in a tractor roll over.
@scottsloan50553 жыл бұрын
These are the same size as the ones on Beastbine. As far as “stance” you standard row crop 520 dual is around 202” . The stance on the 1400’s on a combine is around 210”. Give or take. 🤷♂️
@markhoffert26853 жыл бұрын
I look at those big fat tires and all I can see is a giant rolling pin trying to grab ahold of mud. Instead of grabbing it it just pushes mud ahead of it and there you sit. We went through that way back in the the day with the 24.5 32s and 30.5 32s. A 20.8 46 dualed too me is a way better setup. Good luck
