Until David Silva came along, Colin Bell was City’s greatest player. I was lucky enough to see him play, and attended my first Manchester derby in November 1975 whe n he suffered that horrific injury that finished his career. A great player full of skill, great energy and stamina, could pass, shoot with both feet and could score all types of goals. Would command a very large fee to sign him in today’s game. RIP Colin, a true legend of the game.
