Top d he played, tcu, Michigan, Washington, believe 10 + td to 1 int 1200 + yards. Only knock is his long balls tends to float in the end and yes would like to see another year.

@Jake Shattuck I don't think it's a great idea to draft WR first round, but if you want a superstar, it's probably going to be in the first round. But it's definitely possible to get solid and great players outside of the first round (Michael Thomas, Adam Thielen, Allen Robinson, Alshon Jeffery, Mike Evans, Brandon Marshall, Terrell Owens, Hines Ward, Anquan Boldin). And Colin is right that a lot of recent receiver drafts have produced busts in the 1st round.

You ever hear Rosen called inaccurate? How about this 54% Jones ? What about the Falcons in 2011 moving up from 27 to 6 to get Julio Jones. They gave up a total of 5 draft picks(flipped first round picks,gave a 2nd & 4th of that year & a 1st & 4th in 2012).but it was totally worth it,because he the best wide reciever in the NFL.

Metcalf only needs to know a few routes to be exceptional. Go, post, comeback, slant. Everything goes off a go. You habe to make defensive coordinators scared of his speed so that corners play off, that opens the slant and comeback. If they play on him it opens the go and the post. These routes dont need lateral speed which is what he lacks and they focus in and use the vertical speed that he has. That's what Calvin Johnson was.

​@@pglover2010 He's no different than any other QB - we NEVER know just how well they'll pan out. But, I see the kid as a stud at the next level. Again, like all QBs, it'll depend on the talent surrounding him. Here's how I see him: smart, athletic, MENTALLY TOUGH & resolute - the kid is absolutely determined. Keep in mind that, unlike Murray, Haskins AND Lock, he was playing behind a pedestrian o-line - his tackles couldn't block me. Add to that that he had ZERO elite weapons & you can understand why his numbers pale to those of the other three. Haskins, conversely, had a plus o-line (he WONT have 5 seconds to throw in the NFL very often) and two receivers that ran sub 4.4 40s - he was often throwing into BIG windows. Not the case for Jones. One last thing that you have to factor in: Jones was an ECONOMICS major. He was an actual STUDENT-athlete. The rest of the bunch were ATHLETE-students. Now, he'll dedicate ALL of his time improving his ability to QB.

From 2010-2011 out of all first round receivers 7 of 15 panned out to be good. I can say receivers aren’t the biggest bust poistion. QB is from 2010-2015 only 2 of 12 qbs are actually good. My bad this is out of the top 20 picks just realized that but still
