The NBA is already an unserious league. That’s what LeBron has done to it. Took competition out of it and bought NBA media - now it’s just fanboy propaganda media praising his stat padding and making a mockery of the game. No competition cause even if a team wins they get no attention - they discredited their own NBA title for participation trophy gold medals to falsely prop up LeBiogenesis James and didn’t steroid test him at the Olympics. To call this WWE is an insult to WWE - in WWE at least you have to be able to wrestle and they compete to put on the most entertaining match for the FANS. Michael Jordan made “player empowerment” with revenue streams off the court with shoes and other things. LeBron made “player entitlement” where you don’t have to compete or achieve just take every shortcut and use propaganda.

It is crazy how childish the NBA players look in general, compared to other leagues. To Colin’s point, the guys in the NFL are so much more serious, and mature, and team-oriented. I was shocked when I heard about the 49ers situation where that guy refused to come in play…and literally everyone on the team condemned him and said they never want to play with him again. The NBA teams would have coddled him. I believe that it has a lot to do with how future NBA players are stars even as children, on their AAU teams. They have coaches bend the knee to them at 13 because they’re so immensely talented, and the aau circuits worship talent. So the kids are never forced to mature and be humbled within a team setting, and carry the immaturity all the way to the NBA.
@75aces978 сағат бұрын
AAU machinery is part of it, but I don’t know if it’s a cause or just another symptom. Guys good enough to get to the NBA are catered to from the time they’re about 13 and become multimillionaires by age 19. If you’re told how great everything is that you do at such a young age it’s easy to remain spiritually suspended in perpetual teenagedom. Besides that though, they spend their formative years on just basketball and travel team culture, so they don’t develop outside interests in things like history, works events, literature, etc. they don’t have much perspective outside their own heads. It used to be mostly tennis phenoms who became stars before they were 18, and so they would be so self absorbed. Now it seems to be nba guys.

This is another difference between MJ and Lebron. MJ has two sons who play basketball. While he may have pushed his sons to play, MJ never forced his kids to play basketball as a career. When it became clear his sons weren't good enough to play in NBA, MJ never embarrassed himself or his sons by forcing even the Wizards to draft either of them. But Lebron is forcing the Lakers and his son to be together. Why? Because he buys the crap the media is saying about him.

LeBron James is putting his son in a very difficult position. He's not ready to play. The G League is easier than the Real NBA.

I don‘t think the lakers wasted anything because in 95% of cases the 55th pick never makes it in the league. Yet still he is a complete bust, he is not a basketball player. No size, no shot, no playmaking ability.

By the time lebum retires, the lakers franchise will be Destroyed. No draft picks, no revenue, no star power, and no one willing to play for them!

Bronny isn't an NBA player. Facts. LB has messed up the Lakers organization

Bronny is probably going to finish Top 5 in Rookie of the Year voting. Stamp that!!!

Why's JJ Reddick still coaching the Lakers ? I don't understand why the fans put up with this guy 😡. The Lakers are settling for less and the fans suffer because of this stuff 😡.
