They just all got dinged because he slayed dragons. The narrative of weak competion is hilarious. 39 year old mj was taking it to MVP KEVIN GARNETT in his prime. Get out of here with that narrative.

I always loved Tom as an analyst with the NBA on NBC. He's not a big star or name so he didn't stick around, but his analysis was great.

NBC was the Mecca of sports broadcasting, they got it right. Unlike ESPN nowadays, they just get the popular players and assume they know it all.

Favorite Tom Tolbert moment from wayyyyy back in the early 2000s. reporter in stadium: So here right next to me is this HD TV showing how amazing the new NBA HD broadcast looks like. Tom Tolbert: you realize that people at home watching this with regular TVs can’t tell the difference. Reporter: ummm.

Tom Tolbert had a hilarious story about his time at U of A on the Jim Rome show back in the early 2000's. It was about a guy who would bribe college bball players by taking crank shots with players while they were sleeping. He would show his own crank near their sleeping heads and take a photo. The way Tolbert told the story made it really funny. I believe they called the guy Dr. Boodrow?? Anybody remember that?
