Moral of story - stay away from Pinduoduo. Do not share it with your family, do not share it with you friends, do not share it with your dog. Or as the great Dr. Seuss might say - I do not like it with a pen, I do not like it with a friend, I do not like it in the very end.

The guy run what in Japan would be called a "black company", worked people to death, and, while company is still not turning a profit, he run away with (most) of the money before the communists comes to collect for "common prosperity" Theres no heroes in this story, only villans of various degrees. Remember, in China you dont become a billionaire without patronage of someone within the CCP, the only difference is which faction of the CCP you're with.

Let's be honest, this fella is evil, very evil. Working people to death to sell scams and fake and stolen goods that deceive the buyers only hooking them in (fooling them) with ultra low prices. That old google motto really means nothing in practice, and he learned that lesson well. Also, he probably stepped away because he knows his app is crap. Took the money and ran.

You say "Years to IPO" as a factor to evaluate the company by. But reaching IPO is just a way for the company to raise more money for either product improvement/new product launch/etc. It is not an assessment of how good the company is doing. Am I wrong here? If I am wrong, please help me understand.
@leepxl23643 жыл бұрын
Founders and early employees make their possibly biggest fortune in a lifetime, by unloading (part of) their stock holdings. So for them, years to IPO is a big milestone to measure their efforts.
@bunyu62373 жыл бұрын
Well yeah, you're correct, small years to IPO can mean anything, including just want to cash out fast. But at the time of IPO at least there must be a working product that can captivate potential investor, and there should be plausible long term profitability. Investor is not that dumb, but for sure some investor can be fooled.
