F*** out of here LOL at minimum ohtani is incredibly stupid for allowing an interpreter to have access to 16 million of his money. More likely he was gambling 16 million through his interpreter. I'm in the gambling scene and have been for a long time. This is wild

Michael Kay, David Samson, Jeff Passan and Rob Parker owe Shohei Ohtani an apology for jumping to conclusions and making claims and accusations without knowing the whole story and disparaging Ohtani. They have been very quiet since Shohei was exonerated.

Some of them like David Samson are still floating vague conspiracy theories and being skeptical about various nonsense. I don't put Jeff Passan into that same category. He's usually pretty careful and respectful, but I haven't checked to see what he voiced after Ohtani was cleared of any potential wrongdoing.

Nope. He's lost $40 million. His interpreter, Mizuhara, gambled $180 made only $140 million. It was all Ontani's money.

Mizuhara used Ohtani’s bank account to pay instalments on the gambling debts But paid himself at times when he was winning to his own bank account The account was left dormant except for Ohtani earnings being transferred into it until Mizuhara started to make payments out of it

How is it a bad example? Bonds never failed a drug test.. and they won't put him in hof still because of steroids. Ohtani was about to be banned for life from mlb and mlb was gonna take a huge hit to their brand.. so it gets swept under the rug. Ohtani knew what was going on. Just can't be proved just like you can't prove bonds took steroids

Exactly LOL and all the people that Colin pointed out as being robbed were either robbed by accountants, financial advisors or close family members. Folks that would have some sort of access to the money. There's no reason in interpreter should have access to 16 million dollars of your money. Ohtani is either so f****** dumb that he should thank God everyday that he knows how to throw a pitch and swing a bat because he's too f****** dumb to do anything else, or he's in on it. There's no other way. This wasn't his agent. It wasn't his accountant or financial advisor. It wasn't his wife or mother. This is the equivalent to allow your personal chef to have direct access to your main funds. Again, in that situation you are either incredibly f****** stupid or you're in on it.
