VIDEO SUMMARY:
The Power of words! 4 toxic words that kill success.
In today's training video I show you the power of words and the impact they have - especially the toxic ones!
When was the last time you really listened to the words you use to explain what's happening to you? Never right? And yet, it would be really useful if you did.
Your words have incredible power. They reinforce your beliefs... and your beliefs create your reality. The words you use everyday shape your future.
In this video, I'm going to show you the power of words, which words are toxic and harmful to you success and how to use language in such a way you are empowered by you own words, rather than disabled.
You may be surprised what a difference it makes when you start using the powerful words instead of the toxic ones.
Enjoy today's video on the power of words.
Best,
Colin

I've had the "Sid problem" as I affectionately call it, and although we've watched many many videos, you're the first person to simplify things enough for him to realise the concepts. Please remember Sid is very old. X

Get Sid someone who has NLP or Hypnosis skills. Most of them will have helped people with phobias. It will be painless for Sid and, if you find a good one, it won't take long. Let me know how you get on :)) +Catawba2

Hey Pratheep, yep, the general rule is to stay focused on what you do want and, when we listed to our language, we can hear if we are doing that or not. Our language is like a mirror to our mind.

So true! I have watched myself while talking and it's exactly those words you mentioned that I use very often. Together with the "why" I can often find the word "If...then". E.G. "If I had chosen another job earlier...then I wouldn't have gone depressed. If I hadn't had this accident...then I wouldn't have got this whiplash injury." And these stupid thoughts help nothing, of course, as I can't change the past. It's really "Hard work" to pay attention on one's own words and thoughts (using these words) all the time :-)
@ColinHiles
@ColinHiles 10 жыл бұрын
Agreed Cheops Pyra, it is hard work to pay attention to our words. It's also hard work to be living a life below our potential. To use an analogy - chickens peck around on the floor for scraps - eagles soar free. We've all got to decide whether we want to be a chicken or eagle - both are inside us. Onwards and upwards

Another excellent video Sir. I just wanted to appreciate you for this video specially , cuz I got an answer for a question that was boiling in my mind for long time . The last toxic word which you mentioned (Don't), I was stuck with a thought that "I shouldn't think negatively", so ultimately it further ignites negative thoughts. Now I got an answer, whenever I get a negative thought I should affirm myself with, what I "want" i.e a positive thought. Many Thanks Sir .

Excellent info Colin! Though instead of using the word "want" which for some can hold the subconscious energy projection of "I am aware that I am in lack of" such and such, and therefore the Universe will provide that reflection back, or continued "wanting." I personally prefer and use the word "desire" as in my desire, which already exists energetically and I am drawing it into my manifest reality or experience is... Or how about using the word expect or expecting, as in I expect or I am expecting. So instead of saying I want a new car, job, boyfriend, girlfriend, etc. I desire(with expectation of it occurring thru inspired action) or I expect to enjoy or experience...
@ColinHiles

I don't know if this is the video you advise me to watch, it looks like you're in my mind, I use these toxic words and even their antidotes, but the effects of toxic words, with the influence of the people around me will make decision-making more dificult, and pushes me mad. even if I avoid listening to what they say, I am stuck with other toxic words. sometime, when people tell me that I can't do this or that , I do it , don't know why, but I do it. I noticed when I talk about my problems and my failures to other people I demoralizes more, because they have pity me, or they give me useless advice in my case. So I decided not to talk about my problems and my failures, and find answers to these questions, even if they are toxic, especially'' why me? ", because when I'm asking myself : why me? yes, sometimes it's depressing, but 90% I answer myself by : because I can . thank you very very much for the video ^_^ P.S : I apologize for my English, I'm learning :D
@ColinHiles
@ColinHiles 10 жыл бұрын
Hey miraj shinobi yes this is the video. We all use these toxic words, that's why I wanted to highlight them and give an antidote. You can't always avoid listening the negative words other use but you can learn to protect yourself from them. That's what mind power is all about.

"try" may still be good if something seems very hard when it realistically isn't. It reduces commitment which is good cause commitment for something hard may cause not to do it. and by trying you get to the first step and then realize it's rather easy.
@ColinHiles
@ColinHiles 9 жыл бұрын
Yes 27scole, there are always contexts where each toxic word may work to ones advantage. Generally the word "try" lets us off the hook!

@ColinHiles 8 жыл бұрын
Hey Jason, yes mentors are key to realising your potential. Start by listing the qualities you want in your mentor. If there is a specific outcome you want, who do you know that's achieved it? Look around all of you relationships to see who fits the bill. Then ask :)

I do not someone to sell me stuff .. but if someone helps me achieve or gives to me .. well I want to give back .... " there is more happiness in giving " .. thank you
