Well Barbie, it looks like you're off to a great mixed media adventure. This is very good. I have been doing mixed media for 20+ years. Most of my scrapbook layouts are done with mixed media, so much so that some of my books have to stay upright to keep the pages fanned out so as not to smash the various pages. I'm by no means an expert, but am experienced, and would say that you did very well on this page. What I really like about mixed media is you can just go with the flow and usually in so doing come out with an interesting and creative project. There are no rules and I find that to be what attracted me to mixed media. What truly blows my mind about this is the fact that I was going to message you and ask if I could throw some mixed media into the "Collaging is for the Birds" challenge, because I have tried just collaging but so far it just seems blah to me, mine that is, everyone else's and especially yours always look so wonderfully put together, but mine just look flat and blah. So your collage for this week answered my 'would be' question. Thank you for sharing your creative flow, it turned out great! xx

Lin, yes, by all means make your collages mixed media for Collaging is for the Birds ........ be as free as a bird to create a wonderful collage. That's what's nice about free range collage challenges ... it allows the creator to do just that, create. I am so new to all of this and have been inspired by Jesson Art here on KZbin ......... she is amazing. She told me to definitely give it a go but don't be surprised if you don't like what you create when you first start out .......... a very good point. Check her out ..... she's amazing. 💖 I'd love to see some of your art, I can only imagine, especially if you've been at it for 20+ years. I so appreciate you comment, it's very encouraging and kind.
