Collapsed Lake Dunlap Dam rebuilt for increased stability and maintenance access

Residents and visitors to Lake Dunlap in Guadalupe County are seeing a new, more stable dam following the collapse of the original dam in 2019. With the help of funding from the Texas Water Development Board, the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority is nearing completion on the dam that meets modern safety criteria and allows for better maintenance in the future.

yeh and it cost 40 million and the property owners ( fools ) agreed to pay for it. just so they could have lake front properties and keep their property values . I think the River Authority should have paid for it but since the property owners paid for it, then I think they should partake in the money that the river authority makes off of selling water. etc. That bunch are crooks and they allowed this to happen instead of instituting repairs when they were needed. they ignored it. and then they refused to do anything about it. that organization was created during the 1930's and all it is , is another layer of governmental waste

I would of liked to have seen it demolished completely not upgraded return the river to normal flow
