It's so sad that the "art" of shorthand (cos that's what I think it is - an art) is slowly dying. I'm proud to say I had speeds of 163wpm shorthand, and I think typing of 60wpm. I loved learning shorthand. I found it easy and got quite ahead of everyone else!! I used it mostly in legal posts. With a little dictaphone too!! I still use it to this day. Mainly cos you can write telephone conversations down a lot quicker!! Sorry for the lecture.....!!! 🐭🐰🐼

@@ShorthandLearning no, I don't use it anymore. When I first started learning it, at college I thought I'm never going to be able to get to higher speeds. I practised & practised taking the News down, and slowly my speeds got faster. Unfortunately, machines replaced us, and now its quite unusual to see operators taking the whole process down in shorthand. I can still take it down, of a fashion, and I can still read it. I decided to go into nursing and it was handy having shorthand as I could take the results of various tests down, word for word! Quite impressed with myself haha! I don't know if colleges/university still do shorthand writing classes. I'd love to know!! 🙂
