My God, that is a treasure trove of Intellivision systems! I've only had the Intellivision II and I just got one in my collection again (let earlier systems go years ago, what a fool). That Tandyvision is really great looking too. The Sears Telegames is so futuristic looking. Like a 70's sci-fi, it's so chic.

Yes, the Sears Tele-Games Super Video Arcade is the classiest, most gorgeous, and most futuristic-looking console ever produced. I had to buy one when I first saw one several years ago.

I have about a dozen or so games and overlays sitting in a drawer. Memories of my childhood! I remember going with my Dad to Gemco in Tempe AZ the weekend before I started kindergarten. I was born in 1976. I remember the Sunday before the first day of school when the teacher called each student at home to welcome them to kindergarten. I remember my dad whispering to me telling me to tell her that we just got an Intelevision!

9:53 To answer your questions: Mattel Electronics discovered that Atari 2600 was made entirely with over-the-shelf hardware and therefore the console didn't have copyright protection. Coleco immediately followed suit with their own Atari adaptor for Colecovision. Intellivision II had a slight modification to lock out Coleco games. It also affected Word Fun, but the developers assumed not enough people would care. The ECS, Entertainment Computer System, was Mattel's second attempt to make the Intellivision expandable into a computer as had been promised from the get-go. Their first attempt, the Keyboard Component (the original Intellivision console was called the "Master Component") never was released to the general public because it cost too much and the onboard tape decks had a high failure rate. Finally, the FTC threatened a $10,000/month fine for continued delays, and so Mattel Electronics released the ECS right away, which was their "Plan B" computer peripheral. It was demoed at the 1983 CES and satisfied the FTC as well as consumers, so that became the released computer add-on module.

Just discovered this video and I love it! Thanks for showing off this amazing collection. Like you, I never owned an Intellivision back in the day. We had an Atari 2600 (which I loved). But I will always remember playing baseball, utopia, and auto racing on my friend's Intellivision. 🙂

I have the original Mattel version. It was interesting that you mentioned two different box options. I am used to this old box model where you can open cover (open like book) and see contents right away. And you are correct, shops very often mix Atari and Intellivision games and to look for slanted edge is one separating feature. I have Intellivision Lives for PS2. Funny thing was that game also contained a little bit history of Mattel. You have collected nice details to this video and it was nice to see different Mattel console variants.

You can replace the "hard" wire controllers. You have to open the system up and then you can remove them but you need a "donner " system since they are not regular plug ins they have smaller plugs

So as a kid my mother bought a heman game at a yard sale thinking it was for my atari. Never had an intellivision until about 10 years ago a craigslist ad had a post for a lot including three different versions of the system one was a tandy the other was the original and the last was the Intellivision 2 with the Atari add on I paid 175$ and now own almost a complete set of intellivision games. Obviously he didnt have what would be the rarest of rare games but close enough to it that to this day I'm still learning how to play each game not all in boxes but manuals and overlays for all the ones he had and even a few he didn't have. I'm missing mud buggies spiker volleyball and wrestling. He had worn whomper still in plastic wrap with price tag on it to this day one of my favorite purchases and the first game I played was he man that my mother bought me all those years ago

Finally picked up the Tandyvision. Would love to get my hands on the INTV one. Now you just need the Keyboard Component and the ECS to finish out the collection, oh and the Mattel printer. Oh and I just read this about the Tutorvision "An unknown number of later Intellivision SuperPro systems have Tutorvision hardware inside. A subset of these units contain the full Tutorvision EXEC and can play Tutorvision games", you should see if you can run a Tutorvision cartridge on it if you have one
@KeithFroehlich07
@KeithFroehlich07 10 ай бұрын
Even if she has a partial Tutor Pro, which would usually mean she has everything except the WEBEXEC file, as mine did, if she has a multi-cart, she can load that file in it and be able to run the Tutorvision ROM's on it. She doesn't need a Tutor cartridge to find out. All she would have to do is stick an old classic game like Major League Baseball, or NFL Football in her deck, and if it says INTV Corp instead of Mattel? It has Tutorvision software in it. Another thing is is she able to look through the back vents or are they covered with that black strip? What I saw at 7:16 in her video? I think it's a partial. Because it looked like you could see inside the vents. I could be wrong though.

Great video! Nice to see them all in one place, which you don't see too often. The Sears SVA is by far my favorite version too, and is my 'daily driver'. Wait until you start getting into overseas models.. There's even an Arabic version. :) lol. As far as your Super Pro model, Intv simply used up old stock (console shells in this case) and slapped a 'Super Pro' decal on it. That's why it had the old System III sticker on the bottom and is missing the power LED.. That's my educated guess anyway, but I'm sure other Inty experts would agree. ;) Cheers

Thanks for your comment! That was my guess too that they were using up old parts on my Super Pro. I noticed that they sometimes even stuck their white Intv labels over the colored Intellivision labels on some cartridges! 🙂

Nice video of a nice collection! Regarding the odd Super Pro System, the only part out of place is main top-half shell. The bottom and the controllers are standard parts for the Super Pro System, including the INTV III sticker on the bottom. There never was a Super Pro System sticker on the bottom; they all say INTV III (I own several). Your top shell is odd. While INTV Corp was known to scrape together whatever they could to sell, I've never seen any console with mismatched colors. Also, all Super Pro Systems and INTV III consoles have an LED. If INTV Corp had made your Super Pro System with a woodgrain top, I think they would have drilled a hole and installed the LED (though not guaranteed). This is why I think mostly this is an owner's repair. The only counterpoint that would make me think this instead was a factory unit is that the metal faceplates look nice and flat. I would think that an owner who replaced the metal plates would have left bend marks in the metal when they tried to remove it from the original top shell.

Hello Ravenstar, you have an interesting collection of Intellivision consoles. The system changer is quite rare. The Coleco games (a few of them) actually don't work with the Inty 2, but works for the Inty 1 (model 2609). There are 4 Intellivoice games: Space Spartans, B-17 Bomber, Bomb Squad and Tron Solar Sailer. With such a wonderful collection, do you have a lot of Intellivision games? At 16:32, the game that you hold in your hand is an Atari game ( Tron: Deadly discs). There's also a music Synthesizer that goes with the computer module. I have one at home along with the computer module. Melody Blaster is the game that you can play with the Music Synthesizer.

Wow amazing collection! I just got into it as well. So far I got the OG , INT 2 and the flashback. I just wish we had a steady source for new controllers. I heard back from AT Games today and they don't have any left in stock. And no plans yet to make more. Maybe if enough people ask them they will.

That looks like a Tutor Pro board in that SPS deck at 7:16 If you put a Mattel game in their and the screen says INTV instead of Mattel? That's a Tutor Pro. It actually looks like an INTV I shell in the front because there is no light.

@@ravenstarretro4445 To answer your original question? Yes, the SPS was just another fancy name for a variation of the INTV III. You'll notice the different style of keypads on your System III and your SPS. That was when INTV Corp was scurrying for parts, that's why you'll see SPS's out there that have INTV III keypads, and vide versa. You'll see INTV III name plates on what looks like the SPS console.

I love the design of the Sears Super Video Arcade, since the controllers are detachable and non-coiled for extra reach. Makes multiplayer game sessions a little less crowded. Yes, stay on the lookout for a World Book Tutorvision. There are only a handful of demo units available, since the project died before test marketing. It has a few hardware modifications from the original Intellivision. That '93 price list is probably from Telegames. Just think, I could have bought "Mud Buggies" or "SP Volleyball" for only $20 apiece! Now they're huge collectors' items. Does your bird talk? I've always wanted to hear a bird that's been taught to say "B-17 Bomber!"

Good video. 😉 Myself, only missing the sears super video arcade and tandyvision console. Strange on your super pro system. I actually thought someone took the original intellivision 2609 shell and stuck it in your super pro. What's weird is the sticker on the bottom saying intv super pro so it couldn't be a shell by the original console. Really cool to actually own as its unique.

I wish someone would come out with a 3 in 1 system that plays Atari, Intellivions, and Colecovision cartridges. Be a day 1 purchase for me. There are a lot of games that aren't preloaded on that flashback system, which I'd like to play still. The old systems are usually in bad shape that you see on Ebay, and I"d be leary of purchasing one. We need a NEW system that plays the old cartridges.

I got lucky and found a gal on ebay who's in-laws owned a retail store and they had four SEALED SPS's. I bought two of them, one was a partial Tutor Pro that I resold on eBay for a little profit, and the other I still have. There are collectors out there who have sealed units, you just need to know where to look. If anyone here comes across a sealed SPS? If the box weighs between 6.2 and 6.6 pounds? Chances are that it is NOT a Tutor Pro. A Tutor Pro weighs about five pounds boxed because the 1988 Motherboard is lighter than the standard one.
