Hi Dave, those F1s are superb, such a lot of Tamiya history. Can I pick you’re brain please, do you know the part number for the Tamiya Colin McCRae Subaru body kit, I’m trying to find one for my TAO3F chassis. Awesome video Dave. 😎👍👍👍🇬🇧

Hi, I’m restoring a Tamiya 58011 and hoping to find some parts. Do let me know if there’s any. Particularly the top part of the cockpit with the mirrors, the back of the motor where the wing mounts connects, the wing mount and the wing. Thanks.

hi great f1 cars um did the tamiya sand scorcher came out with a white and black bumper too all so why did they change the f1 motor in the cars u would think they be all the same if u what to put the 540 in it then it would be a hopup
@davidjoos4 жыл бұрын
Hi Bruce. The first Sand Scorcher came with a black bumper and during the later production runs with a grey one. Tamiya madecan optional 540 motor and gearcase for the 936 and first Countach. On the F1 you could change the 380 to a 540 without changing the gearcase. It was indeed one of the first hopups 😃

so like whats different in these early kits and some of the "motorized" model kits? like this Lola T70 kit www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=83120&id=27117
@davidjoos4 жыл бұрын
The early bigger motorized kits were all 1/12 scale. Tamiya actually also made motorized versions of the F1 cars like the Lotus 49 that were motorized. Tamiya also made motorized 1/32 cars and even the early tanks and boats could be motorized. The kits that are featured here are radio controlled cars.
