I got slightly sad by their comments. There really are people like that. You seem like a nice person who's trying to be professional while at the same time enjoying the things you do. I really admire your Gunpla videos (and I wish you keep on making more). Anyways, internet can really be a weird place sometimes. Stay strong and be safe, Umi-san!
don't get depressed over those unreasonable comments. You are doing a great job, and you are so talented on the things that you are working on. Ganbaru!
Hey Umi, dont let those prejudices and bad thoughts get to you. Those people are just plain jealous and have a low-key mental problem. Keep it up queen! 💪🏻
Hi Umi, i feel sorry for those people who gives mean comment and not appreciating you. Hope you do well physical and mentally, ignore those mean comment. Love from Malaysia ❤❤❤
Some people feel threatened by people who are more "confident" than they are, whether confident in thought, in action or look. If those people are from cultures that have pushed genders into certain roles (aka women should be quiet and subservient), then anyone who is the opposite is shunned and some take it as their role in life to bring them down. The fact that Umi-chan has built herself up to having confidence in her looks, her gunpla skills and being proud in her 'geekiness' is something that should be celebrated and done with all people. Prop up their strengths instead of harping and being judgmental about their weaknesses. My favorite moments of all her videos is when she has proud geek moments (a 'look what I did' after finishing a gunpla project) and sometimes when shifting from "at-home Umi" to "cosplay Umi" and does the reverse Ultra Eye when removing her glasses. I naturally find meganekko cute anyways, but doing the superhero glasses removal (or the reverse Ultraseven treatment) has an allure of its own. Keep being you and focus on what you want and what you like. And another tragic "MC meets Truck-kun". Minky Momo must have plenty of company in the afterlife by now.
