These guys have always been borderline Christian writers. Maybe they don't know it, but I do. The majority of the people will never understand this greatness from angelic inspiration. I have ALWAYS loved this band for that reason
@allovinggood8484 Жыл бұрын
Oh, "they" knew it. Just presented it in a way that got air-play. Got a sneaking suspicion that you weren't aware that Kansas was the same way. Also, you did know that Dean and Ed's father was a minister, right? Just askin'. No hate in my comment.

I think they are kind humans, does not matter their religious affiliations. no reason for to claim their gift as Christian . Could be great guys who hold hope for all.

@kendrury4028 It is factual, that ALL GOOD always has, always will come from The Supreme Father & those Saints on the earth who follow Him. When we see greed, subterfuge supporting child enslavement, laws which covertly remove Freedom, ppl who rape & murder, etc etc is EVIL. Look inside yourselves & repent, Brothers & Sisters, before it's too late. ❤️🙏🇺🇲

Best live show around, and I mean they can tear it up. Class act as well. Satchel Paige was once asked why do you play so hard every minute of every game? He replied, "Because there is someone here tonight that has never seen me play, and may never again, and I want to make sure they see the best I can be." That is Collective Soul.
@craneoDeFuego077 Жыл бұрын
So,so true. I was lucky enough to get to see them live here in my smaller city (250k population) and what a show. They were such a class act. Coolest show I've ever been to, not gonna lie. Such a neat band. Got to see them with Toadies, Bowling for Soup, and a few local bands.

This is the best band live show ever. Just seen them last night in Naperville IL Ribfest. One of only a very small group I see more than once, and plan on seeing again and again. This song melds what seem like many bits from previous songs. Instant Collective Soul hit. Maybe favorite next to "Run". I have to shout out I like "Hollywood" also as my son danced to that when less than 1 yr old. Their new stuff is just as awesome as the classic hits. Ed can still hit all the notes.

I've told everyone who would listen that CS writes some truly great riffs, but more importantly, they stack melodies and great lyrics on top. I never hear a new CS song and think, "well, that's not so good." If there "is" a formula to writing good rock songs (which there isn't), CS knows that it is all about hooks and riffs. They should be way more celebrated than they are. But at least I don't know anyone who is strongly against them. Just goes to show that people who are even casual listeners love this band. Everyone can name / hum a CS song (not just Shine). That's the mark of a great band.
