I really like how all the figures come with their tails detached, it saves on box size and makes sure that nothing is damaged. The Amber Collection raptors suffered from kinked tails due to the fact that the box was too short for them. However, I do think that the Parasaurolophus could have been better, it doesn't articulate at the feet, the forearm and hands are just one solid peice, the nails on the hands aren't even painted. and the tail is too short. I also think the Baryonyx has some problems but not as much as the Parasaurolophus, I think the tail could've been longer and the feet are too big. I also think all of the dinosaur figures could do with articulation in the waist, like Beasts of the Mesozoic dinosaur figures.

Another sour person pissed off because they couldn't afford the Amber Collection it was supposed to be a dedicated 6-in collection for adults... Look at NECA look at Black Series they're all expensive... Now you're paying for a glorified 3 3/4-in that is just the Amber Collection cut in half. Black Series is running into the same issues you can only fit so much detail and articulation into a 3-in figure until they start looking like crap. Also you're only paying for painted claws, a somewhat better paint job and some more articulation as far as the dinosaurs go...

Love this series, glad they aren’t just doing raptors now. I would like to see more raptors like the jp3 raptors and stuff for the Hammond collection, but before it was just raptors and 2 other things. The "Hammond Collection Velociraptor" would be even better with especially the smaller and shorter feet than the head. The baryonyx is great, although it would be even better with shorter feet, and a slightly longer tail (measuring half the total length of the body). I will want so much Mattel would also do in the Hammond Collection : -Tyrannosaurus Rex from Jurassic World h(even if it will be the same size as the "Super Colossal Tyrannosaurus Rex") as long as the proportions are respected : especially the size of the feet in relation to the rest of the body so the feet not big, the tail measuring half the total length of the body, and the exact location of the scars : those on the right, on the muzzle, and those on the left especially at the level; -Jurassic Park 3 Raptor female based directly on the AMBER COLLECTION JP3 male Velociraptor where it is enough to change the colors and remove the thorns or the proto feathers located on the head, and especially the smaller and shorter feet than the head; -Pyroraptor with specially the smaller and shorter feet than the head, and the tail as long as half the body.

Man you got your hands on the raptor?! I saw that thing in stores once but didn’t get it bc of the dominion figures that were on this whole incap. Believe it or not but I found the Hammond Collection Baryonyx and Parasaurolophus. I got the Parasaurolophus just bc it was all over the isle but didn’t have any price tags. It ended up being the same price as the Baryonyx, and next time I go to that target in Rocklin I’m for sure getting the Baryonyx. But what sucks is that the velociraptor was gone, right when I wanted it too. But luckily I had it on my Amazon wishlist.

if they do another wave, they should do a T Rex build a figure. (if you're not familiar with the concept of a build a figure it is when you get different pieces of a larger figure in each figure in a wave and when you buy all of them you can put the pieces together and viola)

I really wanted an Amber Collection baryonyx and just like a slap in the face the first lineup of the stupid Hammond Collection has a baryonyx and just so you all know these are just 6-in figures that they cut in half and they try to squish all the same details and all the same articulation in there so the human figures end up looking like crap and weird the dinosaurs are literally regular figures with a few extra points of articulation a little bit better paint job and THE CLAWS ARE ACTUALLY PAINTED!!! Something they should have been doing for the regular lineup from the beginning. Nobody's been able to source me an official statement from Mattel saying Amber Collection is done. I haven't been able to find anything. Please save it I've heard so many little kids makeup stories about how they start on this website or that website or it was in a tweet but they must have deleted the tweet and and their wife works for Mattel but it's actually their cousin and all this bullshit. So save your story. A lot of us fans are older I actually saw Jurassic Park in theaters and they went on and on about how they were going to have a 6-in lineup that was more adult collector oriented much like NECA MacFarlane and Black Series... So if they really got rid of it for this crap I'm going to be so pissed off and so are a lot of other people... Before you say oh well they would never make a Amber Collection t-rex or other large dinosaur that's what the super colossal would be for... Even if they did and it was better articulated with more love put into it I would pay for it. I know people that have bought every T-Rex from the regular lineups they've released the same figure like 10 times but they bitch about how expensive Amber Collection is but they bought the same dinosaur literally 10 times. Even if they didn't do large dinosaurs for Amber Collection they could have done all the medium ones for $40-$60 and yes that is expensive but welcome to the world of 6-in collecting if you're not ready to get into it don't get into it. I've been collecting 6in for the past 10 years. I bought maybe 3 human figures from the Legacy Collection and 4 dinosaurs from the regular lineup. I knew Mattel was going to get into the 6-in line because that's how you bring a whole other crowd. I'm not saying every Amber Collection was great but they were getting better, well Robert Muldoon was another story, I can't believe his Legacy Collection comes with the SPAS-12 but his Amber Collection comes with a shitty shock rod looking thing... Made no sense. Mattel is also really new at this stuff they're not even on the same wavelength as NECA, MacFarlane or Black Series 6-in. Seems to me like they're testing out different ideas that they're copying from those companies but they don't have a dedicated team they're having different people do the different sculpts every time. They need to work on their packaging and their sculpts.

Amber Collection was a mistake and really only had a few decent releases a bunch of raptor repaints that weren't all that great with a few exceptions. Hammond Collection helps keep their focus on exactly where it should be, on releasing figures that are actually in-scale with the rest of their line.

@@jeebus2313 Yeah but Fuck all the people that are older and want to collect the 6-inch to go with the rest of their 6-in figures. Sorry I'm not a little kid anymore I don't collect 3 3/4. They promised us an adult oriented adult collector series of figures that all sold remarkably well and they got rid of it for a glorified 3 3/4. You're paying for a couple points of extra articulation which look like shit on that small of a figure, a better paint job & some details on the dinosaurs whoopty Fuckin do their claws are painted black like they should be on the regular figures. So now you have a premium line and they're just conning people to buy this line when there's really not that much of a difference between them and the regular figures. At least the 6-in stood out it was unique it was different I've waited my whole life for a 6-inch scale Jurassic Park figure line. And don't even try saying that the coloration or whatever was messed up on the Amber Collection because it's messed up with all of their figures have the most ridiculous color schemes. Some of them are highly detailed and actually look like their movie counterparts others don't look like them at all. It's because Mattel is still new at this and they're trying to get into the game of serious collecting like McFarlane and NECA but unlike those two they don't have a dedicated team of sculptors or designers they outsource everything. This was just a giant Fuck you to people that want to collect 6 in specifically older fans. I mean you can only put so much detail into a 3 3/4 figure they're pretty much copying Hasbro and what Hasbro does with Star Wars the Black Series which was a primarily 6 in line but now they make 3 3/4 in Black Series and every one of the figures looks like shit. Trying to squeeze all that detail into a figure that's half the size is stupid.

Figure and when they try to do all that detail that a 6-in figure has they end up looking like crap and weird with all the articulation they add the same goes for the dinosaurs in this lineup all they are is regular lineup dinosaurs that actually have painted claws in a somewhat better paint job with a few extra points of articulation. That's it so they're making people buy the same dinosaurs over the same figures over at least the Amber Collection was dedicated 6 in adult oriented and if they really got rid of it for this crap it's a real shame for all the adult collectors out there

That's what happens when you take a 6-in figure that's meant to be a 6-in trigger and squish it down to a 3-in trigger it needs to be able to stand so they end up looking ridiculous that's why the Amber Collection was so much better than this glorified 3 and 3/4 in line. This is just a marketing ploy by Mattel to get all the kids to get their parents to pretty much buy the same figure over again with a slightly better paint job and a few points of articulation / detail. Hasbro has the Black Series 6in but now they also have the Black Series 3 3/4in because fans well kids wanted a more affordable collectible figure with the same articulation, paint, detail and accessories as the 6-in lineup it just doesn't work like that sorry if you want toys or collectible figures LOL that look movie accurate the bigger they are the more accurate they will be Mattel also doesn't have a dedicated sculpting team it's different people doing it every time and they outsource a lot a lot a lot to different countries... If they actually had a dedicated team to at least building the sculpt and designing it then their figures would be great instead of copying NECA McFarlane or Black Series they should be learning from them... Oh well it's a real shame I really wanted a baryonyx in 6-in scale Amber Collection... That's my favorite Dino... So it's a real slap in the face that they have it in the first series lineup for the stupid Hammond Collection which is just a little bit more articulation paint and the claws are actually painted...

Oh by the way I couldn't agree more about the Kenner figures from back in the day they didn't have much articulation but they were great they actually did look like the actors.

I can't believe they replaced the Amber Collection for this crap a glorified 3 3/4... Hopefully parents will catch on and won't buy all you kiddies the same toys cuz that's what they are. The same toys with a little bit better paint job a little bit more articulation sometimes less and the claws are actually painted, well on some of them... The Amber Collection was great for older collectors like myself and many older Jurassic Park fans... That can actually afford a 6-in lineup that actually want a 6-in lineup with more detail something along the lines of a NECA or McFarlane figure. I've waited my whole life for a 6-in Jurassic Park lineup. Yeah I'm that old I actually saw Jurassic Park in theaters it's really shitty that they discontinued it... It sold well every site that I buy from and every Target I went to they were gone and pre-orders were sold out. Such a shame. You can tell they stopped giving a fuck too because Muldoon didn't even get his SPAS-12 his Legacy Collection did but not his 6-in Amber Collection gets a shitty supposedly a shock rod looking thing. Oh well I guess one less thing I have to worry about buying... That's what you get when you buy dinosaur toys from the company that makes Barbie.
