Portland is going to have an WNBA team in 2026. So, I've heard. Well, even as an expansion team. They will probably be better than the Trail Blazers. As a Washington Wizards fan. I can relate to supporting a really bad team. Though living in the Maryland area, we have plenty of sport teams but, I would honestly trade living in the city (10 miles from Washington DC) for Portland. It just seems to be, that it, would be I don't know how to say it. More authentic there. Also, it gets really cold in the winter in the North East. I like the outdoors. Just not then.

The way the locals support the teams around here, I'm sure the WNBA team will fare better than most of the rest of that league does when Caitlin Clark is not in town. I've not experienced other cities too much other than a few days at a time, but I can tell you the change from northern CA cities to here was significant in that people seem much happier and friendlier.
