95 Z28 - have replaced everything at least once @ 96k mi. My "great deal" turned into a 10k project, and it still acts temperamental at times. Relatively low mileage means absolutely nothing. No matter how good it runs- you're going 10k deep into that nostalgia car.

I bought a car from an ad with no information off eBay of all places years ago. I was sketch as hell too. Arrived, the car was perfectly fine, the guy was honest and completely normal. 100% opposite of who you'd expect to find. Now those weird ads with no info get me interested in case I find another gem

Bought an old Grand Cherokee off of Craigslist with a description like that once. I thought it could be a scam, but it was an old guy that was basically illiterate. He was super nice and damn near gave me the car because he didn't use it. I miss the days when you could get a basically free car for just listening to an old guy talk for a bit.

In Japan almost all of their imports are LHD if the car comes from a LHD country. Nearly all the Mercedes/BMW/Ferrari etc are all LHD

There’s a car subculture in Japan called “USDM” for US market Japanese vehicles. Their car meets look like a SoCal parking lot from the 80s-early 2000s. Probably where a lot of the clean original imports went,look up the videos😮😳

the saab 204L engine in that 95 900 is ready for 10,000 rpm with upgraded valve springs and clutch only. Its head flows better than it makes sense to for an ecobox and is ready for the high rpms upgraded valve springs and clutch only. The stock motor with no modification at all can handle 550hp. They have an open source windows tuning wizard (t5suite) for the saab trionic t5 ecu-> just select ur octane rating, turbo and boost level and press the flash button. Tune the stock 185hp for 91 octane and get 220hp. Fit a 9-5 aero turbo + downpipe and get into the mid 300s. Saab killed this amazing engine in 2000 and replaced with the b205 which breaks pistons around 250hp and the valves melt at 400hp. The 2.3 version that most ppl get excited about, but 234r/l but it doesnt like spinning above 8k rpm. The transmission is terrible. Have some spares rebuilt ready. Rebuild them without the crush sleeve. Someone rear ended my 99 9-3 storm blue coupe... i cudnt find one to replace it with.

In Japan, they deliver mail on motorcycles/mopeds. The house I lived in the mailbox was bolted to the wall next to the door, not the style of mailbox that was on the street that you see in suburbia, USA.

Those are 95 exclusive BBS forged 15” wheels. As far as lightweight miata wheels go, they are the best factory option. Only downside is 15x6. I found my set on redline auto parts, shoutout to them!

Japan doesn't have American-style mailboxes. They usually put the mail into a box/locker or through your mail slot in your door. Most urban mail carriers you'll see drive a moped or small motorcycle.

Eh, high miles don't scare me. I don't think 6k is too bad for that Miata if it's been well maintained and everything works. Show up with 4k. He might entertain it. My Prelude has 260k and everything still works. I bounce around basically everywhere in the thing and have been for about a couple of years. I paid so little for it, I basically stole it from the guy. Even if it blew up today, I'd say I got my money's worth. Cosmetically, it's a pig. Mechanically, it's a good horse. And my wife's car is a 175k mile Sequoia. The thing _never_ gives us trouble, and it cost us maybe 85% less than a new one would. I'd trust that thing to go to 300k without any issues.
