The Mercury Marauder was initially intended to be the Ford Crown Victoria police interceptor in 1998 but because of the cost of them Ford decided to shelve the project, but because it was such an awesome performance package they decided to rebadge it as a Mercury Marauder a few years later for just 04 & 05 i believe & it's an absolute beast of a car!

As weird as the last gen Cougar was, I love it because of it being built on the Mondeo/Contour platform with the crispy 2.5L Duratec V6. Fucking phenomenal handling platform, which is why SVT took their hands to the Contours to make it like the Mondeo ST200. The LN7s were quirky, but cool as hell. The Ford equivalent twin, the EXP, was pretty damn cool. Can be mistaken for a Fox Stang, even though it obviously isn't. They did pretty good trying to make the Stang and the Escort have a child. Heart and soul is all Escort, but the styling ques are pretty Fox-influenced

A couple of standouts 1st, GP GTP, not the GTP. GTP is the SC3.8 GXP is the 5.3 LS4 Also there are the MCSS, ISS, and others, not to forget the NorthStar variants such as the Bonneville GXP, not the Bonneville, SEEi GXP Bonnies have a NorthStar, which the SEEi Bonnies are powered by the SC3.8, which there was variants of these. If you didn’t know what you were looking at, you would be surprised. They are not red light to red light cars. These are built for the highway. Sit back and enjoy the ride. Plus the music that is produced by these cars. Basically all of them sound great. Second, is the 1991 Firehawk, after the first gen, they reduced the performance, goodie’s, and focused on the form more. And remember. The power in those first generation SLP’s was raw, not a safety system period. The safety system was you. People who wasn’t racing them would be scared somewhat by these cars because the power to weight, and they would get loose before anyone would know it. So, some of the owners not racing them would pull them out for a weekend drive, every once in a while. Plus they have a beauty, and presents, that rivals the last gen Pontiacs, with the LS1.
