This is so much better. It's such a difficult song to do and even Kimiko had to do the gasps of breath during the song. I think this is pretty close to a great performance. I understand where you're coming from, and Colleen is an amazing, talented singer, but it's not okay to have aspects of vocals that are intentionally bad in your usual vocals. She's also trying to put on a southern accent which is the main reason she has the Miranda aspect. But as I said, she is an amazing, talented singer and props to her for trying her absolute best and persevering. Because of her efforts, she has improved a lot since her first performance and I think she's really learnt from her time performing on Broadway.

Ellie Williams lots of Broadway performers are parents. Plus her mum is looking after Flynn while Colleen is working. She has accepted that job and so she needs to try her best. I don’t think that can be used as an excuse. I know that seems harsh, and although there is a learning curve with this job, as an audience member, I pay a lot of money to see a show and so I have an expectation of the cast who are performing. I literally will have paid thousands of dollars to see this performance, as I live in New Zealand. Colleen is also not used to the strenuous pace of Broadway, despite having toured frequently with Miranda Sings. It is demanding, exhausting and exhilarating all rolled into one. She has improved ALOT since her first performances, which is awesome. I can hear that she is relaxing into Dawn as a character, instead of thinking about the technical steps and singing involved. I love Colleen, she’s awesome. And it’s great to see her find her feet on Broadway. May this role give her the confidence to pursue other acting gigs!

Colleen ballinger has an incredible voice however she's been playing the character Miranda sings for almost 10 years and in this musical she has to sing with a bit of an accent (as she does with Miranda) so it makes perfect sense that her voice might slip slightly into her Miranda accent since she's way more used to singing like Miranda then she is Dawn...What I'm trying to say here is there's no reason to hate on her especially when you take into consideration neither characters are her natural singing voice so her voice is going to want to sit in the one that its more familiar with anyway as well as the fact that we are staring at a still picture and we can't see any nuances and manners and she adds to the character while on stage. Her breathing is still pretty bad and the timing could also still need a little improving... But to be honest, if you're not a Broadway trained actress, this is incredibly hard with all the running around dawn does in this scene and the song is a pretty hard song to sing in general. But the first chorus was SO much better than on opening night. I honestly think though, a little more time in rehearsals would have helped her a lot! She just doesn't have the stamina yet, to really kill this song! I think it will get better again though :) nice to hear some improvement.

It's impossible not to be breathless performing that song, because it literally gives you no time to breathe, she has to run/dance while singing and big notes follow bigger notes all the time. Watch the original by Kimiko, her breathing was just as loud when she sang it live. As for the timing, it's only because she's trying to sneak in breaths in between her singing. I think this performance was very, very close to perfect.

@@fandomedits7824 when I saw the performance on the West end with Laura Baldwin, she had no problems with the breathing. As I said I think it's mainly a training thing, but you are right - this song is damn hard! I also don't think this was even close to perfect, she still has a lot of room to improve, but that's not a bad thing and no hate. Just constructive criticism. Nobody's perfect and even musical theatre trained Broadway stars have off days. I just still think a little more training before coming on the show would have been great for her! Since she only does the show for a couple of weeks, I'm sad that she will probably perfect it, when her run comes to an end... That said, her improvement IS amazing! :) she will get there :)

Most of the time it gets even worse with thinking like that 😂 but it's Soooo incredibly hard.
