I've never had any interest in reading a Colleen Hoover book as I'm more of a romantasy / high fantasy girly, but I'll gladly watch a video of someone roasting one of her books hahahahaha (sorry not sorry)

Eugh i hate how the people w disabilities in this book are literally just used to prop up how good of a person the love interest is :( it just feels so gross

seriously! I was so upset we didn't get any closure about her brother, she could have at least done that.

My brother has autism and the main character saying "he may have autism spectrum disorder" about the dude in the lecture hall just made me roll my eyes. Like no one says that. It seemed so carefully said to make sure that colleen seems like someone super inclusive

I've been dying for a review of this book. I know an Asa and im terrified to see how Coho will slander the name 😂

CoHo doesn't give examples of solutions because she either doesn't think the situation needs a solution or because her solution is 'Find a man to fix it for you'

@elle8786 you know what... you're right. What a crappy message to sell people

I'll edit with more input. 3:23 Hearing how many reviews she got I went "I wish I had 384,000 READ my books" LOL 7:10 "It's inconvenient" Like CoHo really goes "Women have no agency here" 16:38 Cops are in fact always a disappointment so like these dumbass are pretty accurate lol. 17:30 I have some pretty fcked up characters, so as a writer I can tell you a trigger warning isn't going to ever excuse poor/abusive writing. People who write like this think that they can be fcked up without reason, and reason is what drives people even if it's deranged. 28:46 This mini rant he went on is driving me up a wall. I hate it. This is not how adults act. 30:04 What is this????? Colleen needs to be evaluated bc what kind of bullshite is this.....I have a character who was SAed to the point where I'm almost afraid to write it because it's so mean, but he had unaccounted for rage, and I never cut something from a character if it could be explained. So the fact Colleen writes SAs casually, and uses it as a way to get male characters off is quite disturbing. 37:27 He's not any better T_T 51:41 This would hit so much harder if we were actually given good characters, but Colleen seems to enjoy writing the big bits without writing the smaller bits. 1:38:53 Issues with Luke aside this could have been a really chilling scene, but like these characters suck.

@vvitch-mist20 I love this break down and input 🥹 thank you for watching and taking the time for this. Seriously though with your last two comments, the end has some scenes with SERIOUS potential to be horrifying and/or super emotionally impactful (see my new vid for what good writing does to me lmao). Just disappointed all the way around with this. And agree, super disturbing how nonchalant she is with SA

Playing Blasphemous while I listen to this. Edit: This game is scary but Colleen Hoover is the real affront to god what on EARTH is wrong with her. I’ve read Haunting and Hunting Adeline and this is WORSE. I mean it. Colleen Hoover is the worst type of popular author, even more than repetitive authors, like Ali Hazelwood or B.B. Easton. Like oh my god what is WRONG with her. Also, shoutout to your copy of The Martian Chronicles, that’s cool af.

@@maerhodes8552 same!!! Super repetitive and very upsetting how mainstream and accepting this is. At least Haunting/Hunting to sold as 'dark'. And thank you! Super lucky antique store find, definitely my favorite book I have.

Not to take away from the serious problems with the book, but I think you’d be a great audio book narrator :)

@annaevans9125 thank you, I appreciate that! That's the dream, honestly. We'll see where life takes me but that's always been on my bucket list.
