I never really realized how seeing something new for the first time can make you so happy. It just melts my heart because I live in Canada so I experience the snow everyday and it’s just normal to me but seeing Flynn’s pure reaction warms my heart. It brings me backs to all of my childhood memories with my family making snow forts, climbing snow hills at school, making snow men and sledding what a blessing ❤

@@RedRoseSeptember22 I’m going to answer this as respectfully as I can. Just because a person says they are blind, does not mean they do not know colors. Just because a person is blind also does not mean that a person does not care about the things they have. Blind people are just like everyone else, except we have lost the ability to see. Off the top of your head, what does black go with? …. Everything. Not everyone wants to wear black all the time though. For those who haven’t ever had sight, it’s possible to do research of your own and learn to pair colors. I have had sight and still have a little sight. (My favorite color is indigo, just in case you wondered.) No one wants to look like a slob. We all want to be told that we look nice. Where did you get that shirt from? That to me is human nature. So think about this. From your name, I will not assume your gender, but think about this. People go to to the gym to work out. Ladies are always concerned with their backsides… When your walking around, you can’t see it, so why does it matter? (Answer is open ended, think on it). Blind people need more information than others. The more information we have about anything, the better. I appreciate Colleen and Erik for going back and forth with the greens. If I bought the hoodie and it was a lime green and paired it up with pants that were forest green or sage, they are both green, but that is not the kind of look I’m going for. Maybe I wanted to match a pair of shoes with my top or accessory Orr a bag? No matter what, knowledge is power. I am blind. I live a normal life with some challenges. I’m a single Mom. (I dress myself!). Thank you for asking the question. It gives me a chance to explain and spread some knowledge of my own. Hope your day is great RedRose.

All the interaction and speaking with adults has helped your children learn to communicate early. Some people don’t talk much to their babies, thinking they don’t understand. But of course, through repetition, they do understand. I love watching you just naturally teaching them all about their world. I agree that I appreciate my East Coast snow more, after seeing Flynn’s joy. We get snow at the beach often.

I'm in a psychology class at my university and learned about developmental stages and differences between young boys and girls. Girls are more communicative and when they play they like to be social, while boys are competitive and like to set rules when they play. Hearing you talk about how Maisy likes to have conversation while Wesley makes observations was very interesting and is cool how it connects to what I've learned! I hope that was interesting information! The more you know :))

I live in Montreal, and as I'm watching the vlog, it's snowing big time outside! Tortilla talk question: Does seeing the babies start forming sentences more often make you realize that they really will only be at this stage once? My cousin was very quiet and didn't talk much until he turned 3, and it made me realize how big of a difference his personality was when he talked and played more actively. Also, it's nice to be able to have most of these big accomplishments in the twins' and Finn's life on video forever.

I LOVE the awareness and changing to be accessible to blind people. My mother is legally blind with RP and my whole life I have watched her vision get worse and worse. It will most likely be fully gone in the next couple of years MAX. it’s been devastating to watch. She hasn’t driven since the year I was born (98’) so many things are accessible. I discovered Molly Burke through you and told my mother about her. I just really appreciate you trying to be accessible and aware of disabilities. So much love for you and your family always❤️

I love how you are always asking Flynn (and the twinsies!) “What do you think?!” when they’re experiencing things. I’ve adopted it into my own speech patterns when I’m talking to my nephews (Henry is 7, Carter is 3 1/2,) because, you’re absolutely spot on, I *WANT* to know how they think and feel about things to or around them *ESPECIALLY* brand new experiences. So thank you for that! 😊 💕 (If/when it snows again, you could take maple syrup with you to the snow, made some Snow Cream…or whatever else it’s called regionally 😄 Get a popsicle stick and either a) drizzle the syrup out in a line on the snow and roll the popsicle stick in it for a sort of…frozen maple syrup lollipop, or b) compress some snow on the top of the popsicle stick and drizzle syrup onto the snow. Very tasty!)

We have about 3 feet of snow here in Northern Canada. Most of our winter activities revolve around the snow. When I saw how much Flynn loved playing in it, I realized how fortunate we are and how much we take our land for granted. Although it was -30 the other day and going outside was death... I love when your family calls it "the snow" or says "going to the snow" so muchhh!!!! As someone from Michigan it's so interesting to see someone else's life- where I see feet and feet of snow every year and you didn't see it falling irl until you were almost an adult!

Hi, just your friendly neighborhood car seat safety nut here. Flynn’s car seat straps should be at or above his shoulders where they’re coming out of the seat, since he’s forward facing! His head should not be higher than the head rest. The chest clip should be just a little bit lower too. The top of the clip should be right at Flynn’s armpits. 🥰 💕💕💕

we do get the pretty, thick, snow globe snow here in wisconsin and even after 22 years of it, it still makes me happy and excited each time i look out the window and see all the snow falling
