Yea, i've heard the "mental Program" as well being pushed upon the Herd, but have yet to hear the Pushers of this theory provide a solution for the unskilled laborer. I know if i never went to college, instead of making over 30 bucks an hour, i would be most likely making minimum wage. Ever notice how the people making that claim are ALWAYS wealthy? When you started by sealing up the floor (really well), I was thinking, “No! Conduit, plumbing!” After building my boat I have some suggestions: I would suggest aluminum 2x4 replacements as much as possible, (wood adds lots of weight). Less glue. That insulation will stay put with panels on. Thermo tape. Look for products for this with RV, trucking, Marine websites. (4200 or 5200 to seal holes). Very cool. I like the paint. Wind generator for when stopped? Between sun and wind we do pretty well on the boat. Nice work!

When you're new to building you have a tendency to over build. I'm guilty. Made some steps for my trailer once and used 2x6's 'coz I found some scrap for free and by the time I got thru, them steps were Stout and weren't going Anywhere! Took two strong dudes to lift them! I'm kinda wondering about his safe total weight vs what the bus weighs now with all the wood and other stuff.
@dsddala467Ай бұрын
I could not agree more with the wind turbine suggestion. When it's sunny solar is great, when it's cloudy for days, that usually means a weather system=wind for energy capture without the sun, unless it's fog, which means stable air. So a mountable wind turbine, that could come down when not parked would be ideal. Diversity for power needs is the way to go to be adaptable under different conditions.

I have concerns about the placement of the house batteries. Unless they're in a compartment sealed from the interior and vented to the outside, it's not up to rv code. Also, please use grommets when putting wires through metal holes! The vibrations of moving the rv will wear holes in the insulatig covering, and shorts will happen. The framing looks to be overkill, especially since the body of the bus is very strong. The extra weight will take a chunk out of your cargo capacity. Otherwise, nice work. You've got some great ideas!

I had a dude I worked with up in Colorado who must have seen this, because he had a grey shortbus that he made into his house. Thing was sick. We would cruise out to area and just chill. One day we hit the local dirt jumps and built a landing, backed that shit up, and people started cave manning off on the bikes. Super sick way to live if your willing, definitely requires some sacrifices though.

Great video!!!! Entertaining as well as informative. A little narration could help at key points, but overall I like the work and its details in this video very much. I'm not from Missouri, but if you want to teach me something, a visual reference is best. I see so many videos of people saying they did this and that, but when you hear them describe the work and finished product....you kinda wonder. No doubt here, and it lends merit to one of my favorite sayings. WHEN ALL IS SAID AND DONE...MORE IS SAID THAN DONE.
