Andre Blackwood I am on a about 60% scholarship. All financial aid is need based, but there is plenty to go around! Most people here are on aid. Stanford and many other top schools have great financial aid programs!

are you allowed to minor ( and how many ) with bioengineering as the major?

Anything is allowed. However, bioengineering has a lot of units, so it would be difficult to complete more than one minor on top of that and still graduate in 4 years.

Noah !! most schools start earlier but ik stanford and also northwestern start this late

Noah !! Stanford is on the quarter system. Instead of 2 semesters, we have 4 quarters with the summer quarter off. So classes are 1.5x faster and we start and end school later! Only a few number of schools are on the quarter system. But we all start late!

Is bioengineering a common major or is it more rare?

It's hard to say. Commonality for majors is a spectrum. It also doesn't really matter for the purpose of admission since for Stanford, you don't apply to a specific major. You just say what you are interested in. Anyone who gets into Stanford can major in whatever they want.

Why is your university hiding so much scientific & historic knowledge? It is on par with the Smithsonian. ..What you are being taught is partial truth and at least 80yrs behind what is currently know. Check Steven Greer, Phoenix Lecture. We are older wiser and more powerful than we perceive. You will write essays that fit in with your lecturer's world view or find yourself marked down regardless of the truth. Good luck.
