So, yes we are not allowed to wear casuals ( f *** yeah! perfect formals with your collar and cuffs buttons worn, narrow pants on your waist), must shave and do a haircut regularly , should never even turn towards girls, shouldn't bring your phone to college ( there are colleges who seize the device , but in my case people would check our bags ; the worst part of all they are happy to call it "PHONE RAID" ) I was caught once and it took a long time for me to make them understand that it's a kindle and not a tab. there were times when our gang stood in the Head's room for hours together just because we were laughing in lunch break!!! .. I've never seen a symposium or cultural fest in my college life.. the biggest reason they say all to this is " we are getting you guys ready for corporate life" joke of my life - my corporate life has started and the very first day in my office I was the only person in my office to be in formals... should've seen the facial expressions of my seniors... idhu laam oru 10 percent thaan

If this was the scene in Chennai, imagine I had to face the same rules in Sankara University in Kanchipuram. The mechanical department was damn strict. No beard, no T-shirts or no funky hairstyles or even no late coming to classes and more than 65 % attendance. No O.D for attending cultural fests of other colleges or even for my own college. Was really claustrophobic!

I was suspended for a week for criticizing a rule on FB about my college where we were not allowed to wear T-shirts(even collared ones) that too on study vacations before the exam, when you prefer to study in the college library. What a fucking tool that principal was.

There are lot of hectic rules in engg college. For both boys nd girls. Even there discrimination in the clg bus. Even my junior boy student to talk to me in front of staff that to related any college work (they mention it as official talk)( PSTT: I don't get what is official talk) they see us like I doing a awful job but sometimes they relent their rules if it benefits them.
