College Swim Meet Proposal (Pfeiffer University)

I proposed to my girlfriend of 3 years at her conference swim meet. We both swam for Pfeiffer University for 4 years and this was her final conference championship swim meet which was held at the Mecklenburg County Aquatics Center (MCAC pool) in downtown Charlotte, NC.
Valentines Day was just 2 days before the proposal and I couldn't make it down there that night. So when I finally made it there on Saturday, she had it running through her head that this was a late Valentines Day "gift" from me. Until I walked out to meet her in the middle of the pool, she had no clue what was going on.
Thank you to all my friends that made this night so perfect! And thanks again to the Pfeiffer University Swim Team for all of your help! I will be forever thankful.

He felt it was the best proposal because it was a very happy, exciting day in his life. You're arrogant for posting a negative comment on a video he posted that is supposed to be a happy moment in their life. It might not live up to your standards and expectations, or anyone else's on KZbin but it was one "hell" of a day in their life, he thought he'd show everyone his appreciation who helped out, and show the world how much he cares about his girl.

Everyone knew what was going on lol. I originally contacted the meet director to see if they could play the song over the speakers and work with me throughout the whole thing, but they couldn't stop the meet to allow me to do it: too much money and time goes into these meets and I completely understand being that I swam at that conference championship meet 4 years in a row. I didn't want to impede on any of those swimmer's races and take away their focus. I was told that I could do it during one of the 10 min breaks so I did. What you hear is the Announcer commentating on time trials during the break. He does at one point, when I walk out on the bulk head toward my fiancee, say, "Looks like someone is getting proposed to!" and that's when I think everyone starts screaming lol. All-in-all, it turned out perfect and I couldn't be more happy about the whole thing.

MilliVanilli You're more than welcome. I've wished for an opportunity to do this for someone for as long as I can remember. The big surprise one's are fantastically sweet. Being a big 6'6" country boy, there's not much in this world that makes me tear up... commercials of soldiers coming home get me every time, and so do these proposals. So I'd give about anything to have a good woman to propose to like these guys did. I don't know where you're from darlin, but I can't imagine someone that looks like you would have any difficulty finding a man willing to step up and treat you as God intended a woman to be.
