Oh my gosh TISCH is already my dream school and this video just made it even more sure. I always try to walk past it when I visit NYC! I want to major in musical theatre as well. This is super helpful thanks so much !!! What academic programs do you attend? Are they the same for everyone majoring mt at tisch or can you chhose? And what does mt tisch focus on most; singing,dancing or acting or is it all equally trained? I’ve been taking part in musicals for the past 8 years but I think I’m the best at acting, I dance also pretty good but acting is kinda my priority and I don’t really sing that good so do you have to sing super good or? My last question hahahha; can you transfer from mt to drama major in tisch (if I see that I would be better off at just acting) ? I couldn’t help but notice that at 10:19 you have a reputation CD and was I wondering if you’ve heard the new song for the Cats movie “Beautiful Ghosts” written by Taylor Swift and ALW and if you thought it was a good audition song that classifies as a Broadway song. I feel very connected and can emote really well to it so I would love to hear your thoughts about auditioning (maybe even for collage) with it. Thank you!

Meital Z -okay thank you I'm sorry it's just this is something I've always wanted to do ever since I could remember and I go to a fine arts school for show choir and varsity choir and my only worry with doing this as a career is not knowing if I will be financially stable and things like that👍

I am actually preparing for NYU and i found out that there isn't any course called musical theater. And i wonder which real major are you in right now. I really love musical but i couldn't find any major in the website of NYU. Just drama or acting....

hello I've been looking everywhere for this answer but is it possible to be on a broadway show or off broadway or regional theatre and still go to nyu x

Sarah Devine Yes! There are many people who have done that (just off broadway shows though). I mean, you can still go to NYU and star in a broadway show but your schedule would be packed. You’d have to miss all of your classes. I recommend just sticking to off broadway shows because they tend to be shorter and don’t have that many rehearsals. Just stay in school before you audition for a broadway show.

Hi! Yes! Many people have left NYU to work on a production and have come back to school! :) Let me know if you want more info! Many of my friends have been in Off-Broadway productions while at school!

@@soggycookie345 I'm sure they were on top of their assignments and completed their work, otherwise they would not have been able to do it! And all academic assignments are normally online submissions, but for the theatre classes is is crucial to be there in person because the class cannot be recreated! It as all in-person work. Hope this helps! :)

Hi! The program is typically a 4 year BFA program but it is possible to complete it in 3 years! And if you are placed in NSB if you choose to audition for all Tisch Drama studios, you can choose after your first 2 years at NSB called primary training, to leave and try out anther studio for your 3rd or 4th years!
