hiii i love you sooo much just wanted to say though to consider others not only yourself when going out while you’re sick! i have cystic fibrosis which is a chronic illness mainly a respiratory disease but basically i’m extra vulnerable to general germs and bacteria especially if people are actually sick and spreading it, when i get sick it’ll usually turn into a lung infection which gets really serious and potentially even fatal; the life expectancy for CF is 40 ish. there’s a lot of people in similar situations like me with similar illnesses, and just the general healthy person shouldn’t have to be exposed to a sick persons germs just because they didn’t want to slow down and rest. i totally understand and love your drive and i love soulcycle too and i love your determination but there’s a difference between determination and knowing when to draw the line where you actually need to rest and slow down and take care of yourself and while doing that also take care of others because you’re not spreading your germs to people who you wouldn’t think you’d be affecting so strongly because looking at me you’d never know. love you so much just thought it would be a good opportunity to educate because of the amount of time you said “i don’t care” in this video about still going out while sick but you really should care at least not for yourself but for others :) just overall be smart and take care of yourself. it’s okay to slow down.
@anabelleparada30366 жыл бұрын
your health should go above everything including going out for halloween and a soulcycle class because you can go out or take soulcycle whenever, and your body will thank you for making the right choice and letting it rest, and others will thank you that you weren’t putting them at risk of getting sick too❤️

Yes, getting your tonsils out at your age will hurt like hell but I’ve known people older to get them removed and it’s honesty worth the pain of recovery. It’s better than getting sick every couple weeks! Especially when you take such good care of your health (food, working out wise).. you don’t deserve to be sick all the time! 😭

When I was a kid, for a year straight I suffered from a fever and ear infection at least one week out of every single month. It was honestly terrible. Once I had my tonsils removed I haven't been seriously sick up until last December. It really helps! xx Things that help when you're sick: -Gargle warm salt water -Drink honey and tea -Take a shot of ginger -Breathe in steam Also honestly I'm happy that Gretchen is happy and seeing someone who seems lovely for her! xx

sounds like you need to boost your immunities!! get some vitamins to boost your immunities girl! and this stuff called fire cider!!! get elderberry gummy vites. i used to get strep all the time and then i started taking vitamins too boost my immunity and haven't gotten it in years
@cearabostick93156 жыл бұрын
sadamariee I definitely need to do this! Is there any vitamins you recommend?
@sadamariee6 жыл бұрын
@@cearabostick9315 A really good Multi Vitamin, I'm currently taking the Ritual ones and really liking them, a cheaper option is rainbow light womens one vitamins. Elderberry! Nature's Way Sambucus Elderberry Gummies are my favorite, a good Probiotic currently taking solarays womens probiotic, a B complex vitamin as well as immunity support it helps with mood as well and the obvious one vitamin c! Theres a B complex by Solaray that is really good and it includes vitamin c in it. And the fire cider, its amazing for immune support but not a great taste, you take it in a shot glass and it tastes kind of like salad dressing but its amazing for immune support and gut health! So in short, Multi Vitamin ( not all are created equal as with all vitamins) Elderberry B complex Probiotic Vitamin C Fire Cider I'd recommend going to a local health food store to pick up vitamins, especially if you have any questions they're always helpful! if you have any other questions you can DM me on insta! @sadamariee

I got my tonsils out the week after I graduated college... it was terrible. BUT I used to get strep at least 6 times a year and I’ve only had it once since. Totally worth it. Also, side note, if you have strep you are highly contagious until you’re on antibiotics so you really shouldn’t be out because you can end up getting a lot of people sick which can suck. But totally get those tonsils out because tonsillitis is the worst.

I had my tonsils and adenoids out at 18. It sucked. HOWEVER having strep 6 times in 5 months was worse. It was one of the most painful things I ever went through, however it’s been 3 years and I haven’t had a single sore throat since. Gretchen, you should really look into getting it done over winter break or this summer. Coming from someone who had it done as an adult, it is worth it in the long run.

(Sorry this is long but read it) I totally feel you with the strep thing.... I used to get it multiple times a year and it was the worst!!!! I’m 22 and I went to an ENT and he said he’d take my tonsils out no problem but made me super aware of how painful it will be and the risk of infection because of my age.... I opted out of the surgery because thankfully I haven’t had it in about 2 years. But my biggest piece of advice which I’m sure you’re sick of hearing is to just take it easy while your body is recovering.... that means no alcohol, no parties, no super late nights or super long days, etc. which trust me I know is so hard to do but you need to give your body a break so it has time to recover. There’s no sense in not listening to your body just to be sick again in two weeks when you can just take it easy the first time around and not have to go through it all again. Also the BEST remedy that I use when I’m sick is to make a pot of green tea and add fresh peeled ginger, cinnamon sticks, and honey.... it fricken works wonders because it is anti inflammatory and so incredibly soothing, you should definitely try it (it tastes delicious too) I love you so much sis and I hope you feel better soon!!! 💕

Gretchen, if you haven’t gone to an ENT before, go see one. I kept getting strep constantly and my ENT told me I have chronic tonsillitis (constant infection of my tonsils, including strep) that won’t go away unless I get my tonsils out! I’m 23 and getting mine out in a week. I’ve heard recovery is awful but that getting them out and not constantly being sick will be worth the pain of recovery.
@emmaackerman43976 жыл бұрын
G get your tonsils out!! I used to get strep allll the time. I got mine taken out in 8th grade, I rarely get it anymore. My tonsils legit exploded after they were removed because of the fungus that was in them (which made me get strep all the time).

You have to look at it as yeah the recovery for Getting your tonsils out will suck and be terrible for 3 weeks but then you’ll never have to go through this pain again bc that this rate you’re going to be in pain way longer than if you just get them out. I have a friend that got his tonsils out at 20 and he said it sucked but it is manageable! Deff look into it girl you shouldn’t be getting sick this much

I know you've got a million comments about this but I would get your tonsils out. I did it when I was in first year uni at 19 and it sucked, I did lose about 10 lbs and had a rough time for 3 weeks BUT I haven't gotten sick with anything except for a cold since then (I'm 23 now). Getting strep that often is not good for you, and will eventually run you down.
