As usual, great content. I just completed a ten-month MBA program & I really enjoyed it. Initially, I went for it for vanity reasons. Now, I'm starting to apply for more senior management/director level positions.

@@CollegeHacked this isn’t technically true. UMPI accepts Google PM certification from Coursera and others. Google PM transfers in as BUS 400, a 300 level elective and a 100 level elective. I believe the IBM Data Analytics course has good transfers too.

Just looked into it. Looks like a solid school, but it’s a little expensive at $35 a day (compared to say, WGU) and they have some unique admissions requirements. Like needing to have all your gen eds done and at least 2 years of work experience.

I’m trying to figure out where to get my master’s. I got my bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology from UCF but because I have no professors or anyone else to write letters of recommendations I can’t go for their master’s program. I looked into Walden, Capella, Grand Canyon University, Purdue Global, Liberty University, and National University. They all have degrees in Forensic psychology which is what I want to pursue. I watched your video about for-profit school being scams so I kinda took out Walden, Capella, Grand Canyon, Purdue Global. I was thinking of going to National University but I’m nervous if it’s a diploma mill. I appreciate your feedback.
@CollegeHacked Жыл бұрын
I’m still stuck on the first two sentences. What??? Why can’t you get rec letters from former professors?
@J0HN_3_167 ай бұрын
I concur that for profit universities should be avoided. Purdue Global is owned by Purdue University, a highly respected public university. Grand Canyon reincorporated and is now nonprofit.

Can you review these online colleges, most of which are tranfer credit friendly but are nationally accredited. Ashworth College, Penn Foster College, Martinsburg College, California Coast University, U.S. Career Institute, Washington Technical Institute and Columbia Southern University. WTI and Columbia are regionally accredited. Ive been to several of these schools and I think they are great despite the national accreditation. If the government accepts NA degrees i think they are just fine. Take care.
@TheLifeofKam99 Жыл бұрын
Those schools may be alright institutions. But the problem is that if someone is not pleased with one of those institutions or relocates and decides to transfer their options will be limited. Most regionally accredited universities will not accept those credits.
@CH-zu7fn Жыл бұрын
Stay away from these types of schools.
@CollegeHacked Жыл бұрын
It’s true that for some, a nationally accredited degree will be enough to help them reach their goals. But it’s a little like trying to start a group chat with 2 iPhones and 2 Androids. Sometimes it just doesn’t work, and everyone ends up mad in the process. 😉 As a business model, we like happy clients, and happy clients are reliably produced via accredited degree plans!

NA is not just fine. They're like American politicians: full of promises and fluff, expensive, makes you feel good about things now but doesn't get you anywhere in the long run. Stick with RA credit. Even UoP is going for regional accreditation.

Have you ever had someone hack their undergrad at at place like UMPI or TESU and get into a top 25 law school afterwards?
@CollegeHacked11 ай бұрын
No, but a few in the pipeline with that plan :) We have only been open for a couple years so far, so I’m making the assumption that has something to do with it, whether it really does or not 😝

That makes sense! Thanks for the reply. I'm trying to decide what if I do go back and finish my degree! It's would either be that or another grad program@@CollegeHacked
@CollegeHacked11 ай бұрын
@@nikanderson8786 The nice thing about law schools now is that the application is a lot more than your undergrad institution (which kind of didn't used to be true). So GPA is important, doing well academically is important. But just as important are your extra curriculars, rec letters, and the story behind why you want to go into law :) If you ace those things and the LSAT, a regionally accredited undergrad from anywhere will check the box on the bachelors degree requirement for you!

I'm glad you said this as it gives me a chance to clarify. I haven't taught at LUO in nearly a year. I'm not in any leadership position, and I get no financial benefit from sending students there. Don’t isolate your viewers like that, or I’ll never watch another one of your videos again. Please just stay on topic…

@@DonLyfe This was a silly comment to leave. I'm confident that you're the only person who felt this way about the opening statements. Giving you the answers is not the only job an advisor has.
