I agree. There was no political message or agenda being forced down our throats. Not forced lesson we had to be condescended to. He was simply a character in the movie. And quite rightly became well loved because of how good natures and likeable his character is.

His character definitely grew on me, I hope Robotnic shows at the end credit of Sonic 4 and stone has built Scratch and Grounder and Robotnic says in his dance, Stone its time to rule the world and then scratch and Grounder mess it up and he just seeths as he looks at stone, and it ends setting him back up as the villain of the fifth film.
