Collings D1AT vs Allison D1A

We all hear things differently because I think the Collings sounds warmer to me than the Allison. I like the Collings better perhaps because it sounds so similar to my 2000 Collings D3. I checked prices on the Hill Country and I would sure encourage waiting for a while hoping perhaps the prices will go down on a used one. However, if you have deep enough pockets then go for it! @rogerd9150 - So true. So my main and favorite guitar is a straight D2HG. I actually think I prefer the Allison between these two strictly because the neck feels just like a standard Collings neck. And my pockets aren't deep enough for a new Hill Country... it may be a while 🤣 and thank you!

Allison D1A sounds much warmer to me. Collings are great guitars and we have one, which is not nearly enough!
