Josh Battle? Mmm not sure about him. Holmes, possibly. Don’t you see how ready made these highly touted draftees are when you throw them off the half back? I’d rather use our draft pick on someone who can do that. For example, Nick Daicos, Mckercher, Reid’s doing it off half back also, Sheezel. It’s more reasonable and realistic these days!

They have them already. McStay is injured and will be back sometime after the bye. Reefer is still young and learning his craft. If that Josh Eyre can become a good regular player he will be another defender and then Frampton can pinch hit in the ruck because Cox is useless and a liability to the team this year. There is no pressure on Cox to be dropped because they have no other tall to replace him at this stage but dont be surprised to see Cox dropped and Frampton in the ruck when Eyre is back playing which is not far away.

He would be the epitome of a like for like swap with Howe. Although, Howe is a great distributor of the ball, whereas so far in Buku’s career, hasn’t shown that he is the greatest kick moving the ball out the back!

Oscars our captain I’m sure he won’t leave plus it has been a life long dream for him growing up to play for west coast. Also he will be 27-28 years old and would be a very good mentor for the likes of brockman, waterman so on so why would he leave?

I guess I am coming from the point of view that maybe not everything is as it seems for Oscar? sometimes players just want a change in environment, want to explore new cities. On top of that, Oscar has been injury riddled recently, will West Coast be giving him a massive contract based on his recent injury issues? I understand it's unlikely, but it's worth the discussion!

@@PiesFooty yeah that is true but also we are the type of club too give him a 5-6 year contract with 600+ thousand dollars just because he is probs our number one forward. Since darling is washed and jakey is non reliable and in and out of form. And from my point of view he’s not that injury prone? Imo he’s just a bit unlucky. The knee injury was soreness after the game and the foot Injury was very unlucky in preseason.

Inside scoop is that Bailey Smith wants out of bulldogs as he dont get along with Bevo and out of contract this year, and is good mates with Disco Daicos and may end up at Collingwood if the right deals can be made. Smith will be the most sought after player as I believe Geelong are already interested. Ash Johnson is never gonna make it in AFL, well certainly not in the pies senior lineup. He is a lazy footballer, no second efforts and no pressure. Forget Johnson. They need to delist him or trade him to open their salary cap. If Bailey Smith wants out then they should throw Johnson to the bulldogs. Im sure they need another forward to get Bont playing more midfield and the uncertainty of Libba with concussion so they will need to cover a mid spot.

Talk is that Ed Allen is going to be poached by the Eagles or Dorkers. Don't get sucked into thinking that a born and bred West Aussie will go to Collingwood. It just doesn't happen unless they are really struggling for a game or have injury issues and trying to make some cash. Perth is a very good lifestyle. And if you've grown up in WA then you're not going to decide to go to a Melbourne club. Won't happen. The city is cold, congested, crowded... Whereas in Perth a footballer can live on the beach, near the footy ground and travel around easily. While all being near friends and family. I've spend time in Perth and Melbourne and there is any appeal for a WA footballer to move to Melbourne. It really has to be for a hugely superior money deal. And even then you're better off staying in Perth and retiring, and then getting all the business opportunities.

Its just that he got a chronic upper back injury at the end of last season so may have been chasing a front loaded contract. But its very hard to get people to leave Perth. With Ed Allen it will come down to whether he's worth what clubs will be offering.

We've already been successful in bringing in delisted or out-of-favour players. Geelong was successful because they poached players like Dangerfield, Ablett, and Cameron; they couldn't bring up their own champions, that's just desperate.

0% chance Ozzy Allen goes to Collingwood. He hates Collingwood. Grew up a massive WCE fan, captain of the club, 0% chance. Also you guys don't have a 2024 first round draft pick. The Pies, similar to Richmond, are nearing a list profile cliff where a lot of their aging superstars will retire and only a few young studs will be ready to keep the club competitive (Daicos brothers, Bobby Hill). If they can't sign some big name FA's and nail the draft there's a big drop off coming. Will be interesting to see..

I like to think other youngsters will fastback their development like Finlay, Richards, McInnes, Harrison, Demattia, Ed Allen, Tew Jiath. Through Quaynor, Mcreery, Schultz, along with Daicos brothers and Hill. On top of all that, I think the vets in Howe, Sidey, Pendles all have one more season in them (if they choose to go ahead).
