judging off his recent gameplay, i believe that hes actually pretty much playing the best hes ever done with the exception of genesis 9. its just that its THAT much harder to beat everyone, since not only did the meta change, but everyone improved so much as well. also lowkey i think what keeps leo from being as consistently dominant as he used to be in 2019 is that his fear factor is gone now. people kept hyping the man up to be completely mentally unshakeable and utterly unstoppable. he had the game 4 reputation, the reverse 3-0 statistic, the mr genesis title - everything made him seem less like a human and more like a force of nature, so people naturally played way more scared against him than they do now imo, since we now know that he gets just as nervous in last hit scenarios as everyone else does. like a human. and not like an ethereal, untouchable entity.
