Earley, tank commander of Eagle 7, didn't fire the Pershing's 90mm cannon. He didn't even order it. His gunner, Clarence Smoyer, had sole command of the gun and took the shots. But your animation, combined with actual archival footage of the tank duel, is very well-done.

Few things: It was a Panther A, not a Panther D Kellner's sherman was not a Jumbo, but an M4a1 with the 76 You can lock your turret MG so it doesn't look weird if you move the turret and a few other inaccuracies here and there, but nicely done regardless

Some people wonder why the panther didn’t take the first shot, that reason is because the gunner was told by the commander not to shoot, because the German commander had never seen that new type of tank before and mistook it as one of their own

Incorrect . That panther ( There were two , and a panzer 4 in the area )was under a bridge , at the far end of the street , at the time it took out the two Shermans ( There were two involved in that incident ). Then moved up . The pershing on the other street , saw the panzer 4 backing up , and caved a building down on top of it , about the same time the shermans got hit . The panther was effectively dead on the first shot , as the crew bailed out immeadiately after , the 2nd and third shot , was the pershing crew reacting to the situation .

They were NOT Sherman’s. The tank that put the 3 shots into the Panther was one of the first Persing tanks with a 90 mm cannon. It was only by pure luck the panther didn’t fire first as its commander had never seen a persing before and thought it was a fellow German tank.

This is factually incorrect. The Panther was parked in a hide position inside a destroyed building. It reversed and withdrew to the Cathedral after knocking out the Sherman. It did not advance. It was knocked out in place by the Cathedral after the Pershing advanced to its position and fired multiple times, hitting the Panther with each shot and setting it ablaze… The German tank crew was in the process of abandoning the tank after the first hit as it was already starting to burn.

This is factually incorrect. The panther was parked in a hidden position under one of the overpass tunnels at the train station. It drove forward and advanced to an intersection After knocking out 1 Sherman and disabling the other. This is proven by photos taken at the time along with literal video evidence

Not destroyed and it was after, the Panther hit Kellner's Sherman twice. The first shot bounced, somehow, and the second shot destroyed the Sherman and took Kellner's leg off below the knee. Then the Panther traversed and struck the second Sherman's track but it managed to reverse around a corner but was largely immobilized.
