Colombian fans weren't harassing nobody's family. It just happened that they were sitting where the fight started 😡😡😡 News need to stop saying this without any proof , Colombians were singing their songs and the Uruguay people got upset and they started throwing beer and bottles to the Colombian fans and that's how all this 💩 started !!

Interesting they didn’t point out the fact that Uruguay players after the game were fighting and going after Colombian players including Suarez sure let’s not mention that or the chair Darwin Nunes threw at Colombian fans before this whole thing went down. Sanctions need to be put in place for a player causing violence towards fans.

The families were not in danger. They were more concerned about hitting the Colombian fans. Instead of taking their families away from the "supposed danger" they were in. They decided to be there.

You can't state as a fact that somebody was harrasing the families. There are hundred of videos showing one uruguayan old man starting the fight. Do you research and do not spread fake statements.

American sports security forces are simply not used to this kind of situation. Here in the States at our sports events, “we don’t go there,” especially with family members. With some exceptions, even the most visceral fans like Eagles & Raiders fans usually have better decorum than actual violence. It’s safe 99% of the time for fans from visiting teams to sit together & get along despite our rooting interests. So sports security organizers in the US aren’t used to this level of tribalism. We will need to be much better for the World Cup with security.

Yeah I was at the game and there was a lot of this jeering back and forth escalating throughout the night. I mentioned how in Europe I see the double column of stewards to prevent fans from crossing over, but tickets weren't sold as distinct sections either. Also I saw someone near me who was giving their teenage son beers throughout the game and the son was getting over the top with the things he was saying, not sure how you fix that either.
