Barichara is a Colombian Heritage Town located in the department of Santander. It is considered the most beautiful town in Colombia and is also the ideal destination for architecture lovers and photographers. The colonial-style stone constructions are generally kept in a beautiful shade of yellow. This town was founded in the department of Santander in 1705 and has retained its colonial style to this day. For this reason, the city was declared a national monument in 1975.
