@@rodemus18 Yes, just use a lighter spring. It comes with a beefy 18kg spring, so go down to say a 9kg and it'll drop the performance quite far.

I'm not arguing for people correcting people online over semantics, but the reason shotguns are used is for the versatility of using vastly differing ammo. In this hobby it's a shotgun because of form factor or if it shoots multiple shots, but again semantics.

Absolutely! But I think what people mean is they want shotguns to shoot multiple projectiles at a time because that’s what makes them fill a different role. Because in a hobby that uses the same ammo, this thing in single shot could feel no different in terms of performance than something like a caliburn. The multi shot makes the performance different than single shot and that’s why people like it. However yes it is ridiculous for people to say this isn’t a shotgun lol. It totally is. With the single shot I like that it’s an option but I want muh buckshot effect lmao. Or just take some rubber dart tips and be like flechettes, or three rival rounds in the shell. In the spring thunder you were able to do this but idk if you can with this blaster cause of how narrow the barrel and shell room looks.

I don't suggest using a spray. Most sprays use a petroleum based accelerant. Anything petroleum based is bad for the o-rings. Most hardware stores have silicone grease in their plumbing departments, I also like Super Lube if you can find it.

I've already done a review on this and absolutely loved it. The very first thing I did was find out from community based companies and friends if more shells could be had. I've been testing some from FrantzFoamWorks, and while I haven't put the video out yet, they're going to be a great way to get more shells without spending a fortune. If you get one of these Firefly shotguns, get in touch with FFW and get them to print up some shells if you don't have a printer yourself. Walcom, that means you too, lol!

The thing is this is basically just a different shape and different ergonomic talonclaw. I say if you want a 200+ fps blaster get a lynx, talonclaw, or caliburn or something of the sort because they are mag fed. If you like the ergonomics and want the high fps then this is for you. But if you just like the ergonomics and want more diverse ammo then go with the springthunder. The firefly is still really cool tho, great video!

Am I the only one who thinks that a shell catching system would make this 100% war practical? Like, one could design some sort of clip-on attachment with a bag on the ejecting port that could keep the shells from getting lost. It would not look as cool, but for backyard plinking, one could just use the blaster without it in order to see all those shells flying out

I love shell ejecting blasters and it’s hard to beat that price but I think I’ll be sticking with my spring thunder. I would argue that the spring thunder is the most versatile primary. For super stock I like to use my single boomco shells along with the rival buckshot and for ultra stock wars I throw in my sniper kit and I’m able to compete against any high powered blaster.

what even counts as a shotgun anymore, because not only do most shotguns have the ability to single fire, making the shell the real shotgun, not the gun, but i've seen pistols fire shotgun rounds because some gunsmith made a shotgun round for a pistol. Any shotgun you can buy on the market "isn't a shotgun" because single rounds exist. Don't let people tell you it's not a shotgun, because for all intents and purposes, this is a shotgun

I don't see why so many need aftermarket parts are 3d printed To me it seems like it would be cheaper and easier to just mold the plastic since you're making many of the same part

It costs a lot more money to injection mold stuff. You have to make a new mould for everything, which is CNC work. You also often have to redo moulds because of problems. And you need the machines to obviously do the injection molding. Tens of thousands of dollars.

You can epoxy the mag tube collar back together, or you can epoxy and then glue a printed a sleeve over it. It'll look a little weird, but if you can print it, it'll definitely hold and you don't have to worry about cracking again

I would still prefer a Spring Thunder over this, but only for one specific reason: I like having the ability to shoot more than just one dart type out of the shells. If it wasn't for that, this would be my dream shotgun-style blaster, too, purely because it's injection-moulded instead of 3D-printed.

It’s just a Longshot spring, so you could potentially buy any Longshot spring and use that instead.

I tried just "any" Longshot spring from OrangeModWorks & it DEFINITELY does not fit. Spring that came in the Wasp is about 20mm diameter, the OMW spring is 30mm diameter. Length is fine though. 30mm spring won't fit in the shell. So...I guess don't try OMW?

Many idiots know nothing about firearms and the fact that there are " slugs " such as the ubiquitous 1oz foster slug. Hell taufladermaus Is a KZbin channel pretty much dedicated to every kind of shotgun slugs under the sun. Just because it only fires a single projectile does not mean it isn't a shotgun.
