One of the important things Beastmen units offer aside from their speed is that all units provide fear, making it so that most battles are won through morale routing instead of outright destroying them. It's why having ungors is actually valuable, because they tie down units really well and even if they don't have the stats to beat down standard Empire swords they can still force routs

They also usually have a higher charge bonus than their opponent. One of the keys to playing Beastmen well is getting your charge bonus to activate whilst preventing your opponent's charge bonus.

@@SGProductions87 This seems to go over a lot of peoples heads: they are an ambush faction. That means hit hard and fast before the enemy can fight back. I mean shoot, two of their stances are centered around ambushing, with a very high chance of doing so.

I've been playing beastmen since day 1. Been modding them ever since as well. The roster feels 250% better with these additions.. 1.) Preyton workshop mod (Beastmen now have a large center flying monster that is no push over) 2.) Ungors with poison and AP arrows (Beastmen now have more ranged options, wow) 3.) Bestigors that operate more like chosen (Personal favorite, 1300 gold, 40-42 MeleeAtt and MeleeDe, 74 Leadership. Makes them feel much more heavy metal and badass) 4.) Giving basic Beastmen Lord the highest Melee Defense of all Lord options (At the very least, the basic beastlord can save you gold AND has a good chance of surviving the longest in melee combat now. Its something, anything) Its nice just having options. Having room to tactically breath for crying out loud.

SEM are such a pain as beastmen. Just played a game where I swept over a Skaven player with a Centigor heavy build but Throt on a brood horror, a Hell Pit, and a plague caster on a bell were just too much. Managed to get the bell off the field and hurt the hell pit a lot but brood horrors are ridiculous.

A few points I'd like to make on this one. 1) Gor herd - the non-shielded variant has _much_ better attack stats than the shielded version and make better high DPS flankers. 2) _Absolutely_ agree on Warhounds. Hands down the best at chasing off routed enemies, and oh so satisfying when the enemy army breaks. 3) Minotaur - as with Gor herd, the base unshielded variant absolutely _blends_ Small Unit size enemies with their +18 (!) bonus vs infantry. Putting that in perspective, regular Minos have a 55% hit chance vs Empire Swordsmen, compared to 37% for the shielded, and 128 weapon strength vs 110. If you want shock and awe, regulars are the way to go. 4) Giants. Ohhh, Giants, how we want to love thee. Beastmen actually have the best Giant, not because of any stat difference but because of _Mantle of Ghorok_ from the Wild spellbook. If you are able to protect and set your Giant on an enemy single entity, be it the enemy general, a dragon or indeed another Giant and drop _MoG_ on your Giant... it's absolutely disgusting. 105 attack with 900 weapon strength (with 675 of it as AP). For overkill you can add _Wyssan's Wildform_ from the Beasts spellbook and/or _Okkam's Mindrazor_ from the Shadow spellbook. Give it a try!

What I liked to do was bring two minotaurs with great axes and the Morrslieb Zygor. I pin one large entity down (most likely enemy lord) and charge my minotaurs in there

Centigors are pretty cool ! Very fast, armorpiercing Greatweapons and Misseles aaaand they have an ability, that gives them perfect vigor and a little melee Bonus as long as their leadership isn't wavering

I played them recently, i must say that being the underdog of the evil factions was fun, but the problem was the Empire expanding at the same time as i razed their settlements, if Norsca could conquer in land settlements they would have died faster, Rakarth and Mannfred helped in the East and West, and the Dawi, those bastards conquerd half of the Empire while i destroyed the settlements, also they should copy paste the new waagh system, just select a settlement and you must destroy it in x turns, when you are done you must select another, if you fail you loose your beast waagh, easy

The key to be strong in beastmen campaigns in my opinion is rely on those ungors all the time Yeah you will call me an idiot...How those goats can stand up against late game monsters or artillery or elite infantries or ... the answer is by using lots of in campaign buffs and their innate abilities like stalking Every army shaould have access to one gorebull at least and all of gorebulls get a lovely skill point for buffing the ungors and gors attack by hefty amount and it will stack also your lord skill points bugg them further more and your hord buildings do it even more and finally your technology push them even further and after all your simple half naked goats can have massive amount of attack value that can mack them more than capable of engaging any type of enemy on their own situations Do not forget that they stalking as well so you can choose where and when engage your enemy and where to hit them 4-5 full stacks of ungors plus 1 stack of elite minotaurs spam with 3-4 heroes all with unseated blood thirst will pretty much delete anything from your sight I tested the minotaurs doom stack with the lord and 4 heroes all with unseated blood thirst trait and i got a minotaur unit that can hit like a hero honestly 200+ weapon strength is not a joke and combined with 50+ charge bonus will shred everything to bits But i think beastmen regardless of their need for better roster are in dire need of some abilities like perfect vigor or something for their entire roster just like how centigors act now When you have a roster that relying heavily on lightning attacks then your faction abilities, lord traits, lord skills, technologies, ... should build around speed and durability and stamina You should always have access to things like perfect vigor just like brettonians have they are fighting more or less like brettonians after all

If you use Centigors as brawler cavalry they will all die. They are very fast, have a decent charge bonus, and have woodsman and perfect vigor. Keep them moving and charging into vulnerable targets that don't have too much armor and they will rack up insane value especially late in the battle. If you leave them in prolonged combat they will die before mid-game.
